What is the longest (single) corner in current Formula 1 Championship?

Turn 8 Turkey.

Correct. A similar tragedy happened in Melbourne the year after in 2001, when Ralf Schumacher and Jacques Villeneuve had a massive accident. Hence greater focus on wheel tethers. Dark days.
