Mark Webber has revealed that he is in "positive" talks over a contract extension at Red Bull, despite his grievances over team orders during Sunday's British Grand Prix.

I'd be happy if Mark Webber left Red Bull and tried McClaren out for a change, and Sebastian Vettel To Force India Or Something.....

Greetings forumers first post here.
I think Webber is smart to stay with RB. Where else is he going to go?
Personally I think Massa and Button are better pilots, and they will probably sit tight. I think Mark is talented but I don't see him as a #1 unless Kubica is done, (which unfortunately a distinct possibility) and I don't think he would be their first choice.
If Vettel got hurt Mark would be in the pound seats! Best to stay put MHO

Howdy and welcome to the forum Mr Alcatraz. :wavey:

You pretty much summed up what I was going to say in you post. I can see 2012 being Webber's last year in F1 before he retires and his seat goes to one of the Torro Rosso drivers or Ricciardo. He would be stupid to leave Red Bull before he retires.

To be honest, Mark has no better choice than the fastest car and we have no better choice for a fast driver."

Direct from the top, from Dietrich's lips.

Actions speak louder than words, and dollars speak louder than actions and words. Can anyone really believe what comes out of the mouths of team leadership and principals?

I really thought that Mark would have walked after being told to hold station at Silverstone. And who knows next year Red Bull might not have the fastest car now that the Exhaust Blown Diffuser has been banned for 2012 onwards; I think that the EBD has been the key to Newey's design and it's substantial advantage. Back to Webber; I really thought that he wouldn't settle for being a #2 driver in a team, it's pretty clear that Webber is #2 after Silverstone, Vettel is the golden boy in the Red Bull team, clearly Horner's "they are allowed to race" comments are BS!

Webber is getting on in his years and there isn't a viable (read as better) option in another team oh, and money money money money....
