Hoping for a good race, dont care where Vettel finishes...well as long as he doesnt do something stupid!

*cough*

First - he MUST finish first. He has never won his home Grand Prix. :wavey:

Well as long as he doesnt take himself out there wont be much to be upset about. Ok, he DNFs but one of those is not going to stop him from becoming WDC!

Though it would be great for him to finally win in front of his home fans. Imagine a all German podium: Vettel, Rosberg, Schumi. The crowd would go insane!

Dunno that would be a good thing in Germany:

That's just too far. I'm sure most German people would want to forget about this dark chapter of their country's history.

Invoking Hitler is an automatic loss when introduced into an argument as an example or comparison. In this case it's just a bad joke, (I'll forgive DD for that).

But as your statement as the German people would want to forget about that dark period... just remember there are people today that would like the world to believe it never happened.

But let's get back to discussing F1, please!

Last mention of the topic, for everyone... understood?

Well I must say after spending a lot of time in Germany It really gets on my nerves when idiots bring up Hitler. It's a chapter of German history that no living person can do anything about. As a nation they in my opinion are as good as if not better people than anyone else(along side the dutch).

Anyway idiot of this weekend goes to ME,I didn't even think about the dates i had booked to go to Germany.I go out thursday and back sunday. What a complete idiot,i'm only staying a bout two hours from the track.Sadly its just not enough time to get back and catch my flight home. Why did I not look and book the flight home the next day DOH!.

As for the race McLaren 1-2 easy as that :hehe: Wouldn't surprise me if this was a real close race between the three leading teams. The edge surely must be with Vettel but who knows

So its not long now until the German Grandprix...and from what i have read previously most people are going for a Vettel win or hoping for one and although it pains me to say they are probably right in doing so..although like someone pointed out earlier he has never won his home race...although i think this year he most likely will (but if i recall and i might be wrong but he has never won the Canadian GP and look how that turned out this year)

Anywhoo....in f1 anything can happen...im just hoping that its a good race and that Mclaren come away with the top points (wishful thinking maybe ) :hehe:

I think it is a German curse. Schumacher has only won a race held under the banner of the German GP 4 times. His 1st was in 1995 and the previous German win was in 1939!

I'm kinda losing interest a little now after the Silverstone debacle; with the exhaust blown diffusers legal for the remainder of the season, Red Bull have sown up the drivers and constructors championship, which is a sad thing considering that we are only half way through the season. Looks like it will be a four way battle for runner up, I'm just hoping for a few non-Vettel wins during the remainder of the season. I'm not taking anything away from Vettel; while out front he is almost untouchable and he will be extra motivated in front of his home crowd.

Bad taste I agree and an OFFICIAL warning should be given but then again some are above and beyond the rules they enforce.

You can decide if it's bad taste, but you don't decide if a warning is necessary. Being above the rules would mean that I would not have posted my open disapproval of the clip in the first place. If bad taste was against the forum's guidelines, we'd have half the posts and a quarter of the membership.
