This is a relatively easy one (if you followed the sport at the time, of course). I consider Jenson Button's first really successful season to have been in 2004 (despite outpacing a critical and moody Jacques Villeneuve in 2003).

He did excellently for BAR in '04 getting numerous podiums, but Ferrari domination prevented him from getting to the top step.
