Great Ferrari have relented on the blown diffuser row, now all this stuff has been a waste of time, and it'll be allowed after all.

Majority rule, not stick to the rules even if it doesn't benefit the majority.

If Ferrari suffer from this, Stefano will be in for a lot of kicking. Luca must be furious he's gone with the other teams here.

Sauber and Frank have said no (two of the most independent bosses in f1, no coincidence, eh?) to the comprise (Valencia spec), but Bernie has said they've agreed now.

Last I heard it was Ferrari and Sauber-Ferrari (surprise surprise) who were the only teams to not want the rules to revert back to that of Valencia.

What a wonderful sport F1 has become through idiots like Stefano Domenicali! If you can't beat them, don't even bother trying to beat them, just run to the stewards and get the other teams advantage banned. Totally pathetic! F1 is meant to be about, among other things, innovation, not running to teacher telling tales.

If this is right and Ferrari have relented then good sence has prevailed.

Just go back to the settings before Valencia and you (FIA) can sort the rule book out ya bunch of geeks, you have half the season left...so lots of time to study and do your homework!!

No, the blown diffuser situation was illegal, don't think Ferrari were moaning about it much anyway.

No team is arguing the legality of the blown diffuser, just that they'll suffer from the FIA restricting them.

They have their gift from the FIA (a race win) so relenting now isn't too bad.

According to Alonso, it was their aero updates that gave the advantage and not the EBD restrictions. I don't know how reliable a source he is given that he didn't know anything about the stolen dossier, nor did he know anything about Nelson Piquet's meeting with a wall in Singapore, nor did he know anything about Massa being told to pull over...........

Besides, gifts were only handed out by MrM.

The extreme off throttle overruns are illegal, if anything Ferrari ought to be pissed off the other teams got away with this so long as they had the unfair advantage. And ought to be pissed off now, that the FIA has backed down on correct the matter.

I think it would have been a Red Bull 1-2, but I don't think Ferrari would have been so competitive.

I think it would have been a Red Bull 1-2, but I don't think Ferrari would have been so competitive.

Ferrari were very competitive in Valencia and brought more upgrades to Silverstone; I believe that Ferrari are genuinely making inroads into Red Bull's dominance. I have never been a Ferrari fan so I am fairly unbiased on this; we'll find out one way or the other in Germany, I believe Ferrari are coming strong in the second half of the season again!

I tend to agree but there is nothing on the current regs to ban them on.
