Horner now trying to cover his a$$ due to team orders!
Hamilton was on fire today and the way he took Alonso while going onto the wet side of the track just before entering Copse was supreme, I really thought he was going to slide to the oustide of the track and then onto the runoff area.
Alonso owes a lot of his win to Hamilton holding Vettel up as well.

It is just me or is Horner turning into one of the most hypocritical ba****ds in F1?

I would like to see Hamilton investigated for his collision with Massa. Looked like he went into the corner too fast and used Massa as a brake going by the angle of the car and the locked up wheels.

Hamilton should have pulled over and let him pass right?? pffffp.. come on man , this is what makes racing exciting!!! People fighting for positions.. I think drivers should be allowed to defend their positions (within reason though)

When you're that far off your team-mate championship wise....Red Bull have no choice but to use team orders! Good call. Vettel only at Webbers level today because of crap pitstop anyway

Ricciardo completes his first GP. P19. Liuzzi had more pace but it was Ricciardos first GP and he has never done a race as long as that before. A few practise laps is nothing compared to 300km with no breaks. All part of the learning expirence for him...better to do it now rather than 2012 @ Toro Rosso.

Mercedes 6th and 9th! Great fightback from Schumi too. Mercedes now lead Lotus Renault in the Contructors Championship 68-65 :D Took us way too long to reach the Top 4 IMO. However let's start getting some top results now that we're in the top third of the competition.

Nice work from Ferrari, I think Alonso was clearly the fastest guy out there today.

I do not envy the position Christian Horner is in trying to save face. It is the lesser or two evils though. We have had drivers told before to hold station, its not like we Webber was leading and was asked to move aside. Not nice to hear and certainly as a fan disappointing...

That's not what I am saying, of course no driver should pull over and let someone pass FFS!!

If I want to see drivers smashing into each other I'll go and watch stock car racing. It is possible to defend without hitting someone. Sure accidents happen in close racing but most are avoidable by the judicial application of the brake pedal. I always think risking a smash so close to the end is just plain stupid.

If it is a choice of telling them to hold station or risk them hitting each other it is pretty obvious what the only sensible thing to do is. Red Bull made the right call in telling them to stay put given it was so close to the end of the race. Had it been earlier in the race, I'd have been extremely annoyed but given there was less than 2 laps to go it was the only sensible thing to do. I don't like team orders but they are a necessary evil.

Well they both went for maximum braking and there was a collision end of. Massa's side of the story 'Lewis crashed into me', Lewis end 'Massa didn't give me enough room' well they both finished the race no harm no foul, end of!!

Right call from Horner. Eddie Jordan said it too. It's a decision the team boss has to make.
Ferrari is the strongest car right now, mark my words. We all know that FIA was always a good tool for Ferrari. Now they have weakened Red Bull and McLaren, so we'll have a mad finnish of the season, if Newey doesn't find a new solution.
Too bad the pit mistakes stopped Vettel and ended Button's race.
Hamilton fought well, but, what is the matter with the McLaren team? They keep to make mistakes, over and over again.
Too bad for Kobayashi. At least Perez scored again with a fantastic drive. Rosberg and Schumacher too. DiResta was so unlucky. I hope he gets another chance this season.

All in all, fantastic race. You gotta love Silverstone!

P.S. Sebastian Vettel, double world driving champion! :D

Hahaha, Hamilton making jokes about stewards. :hehe:

What did he say? Got a link
#264906
lol, hamilton - "I've got a platinum card for the stewards these days". Anyway, good race and well done Alonso for beating the RB stanglehold, but Webber must be livid inside.

Yes, you're free to race, just as long as Seb finishes in front, :hehe:
