im thinking Whats Burning got it right it was David Coulthard....in 1995 (race was Adelaide) and it was because (he slid straight into the pit wall and broke his suspension)

anywhoo all we need is for DD to confirm Whats Burning is right and then the next question can be asked and i can get it wrong or be beaten to it by F1 brainiacs :D

The two-seater was a McLaren, that looks very much like a mid-90s Williams to me.
