I know from other subjects that a few here have been to the Canadian GP.

I'm just waiting on tickets appearing, but what grandstand would you recommend?

In the first corner. I don't remember the number but if you are up high you can see the cars enter the pit straight, down into the first corner and up the hill and under the bridge. Lots of action .....

I was gonna suggest the first corner also but then again turn 15 is a great overtaking corner.

The last corner and by the pit entrance is without a doubt the bext place - and its a good spot to see who hits the wall of shame .....

lol i recall Sato in a Honda spinning coming out of the turn in 1 (2004 one lap qualifying), doing a complete 360, finishing his lap and gettiing a better time than about six other cars.

Tickets now available, although those that went in 2007 get priority until 19th December.

Went for the Senna Corner, hopefully I get the tickets!

I recall watching Senna on a qualifying lap through the first few corners. Sitting up in the stands you could see into the cockpit. The car looked like it was on rails and was not moving an inch and yet inside the car you could see Senna working the steering wheel for all it was worth. An amazing spot to see inside the cars as they drive past.

The hairpin.
I was there in 2006 and there is a good reason not to sit in a certain part of the first corner. I have some posts in another thread about it, let me find it...

Hairpin - I was at the hairpin when RK crashed. Scary! Great seats - very top of the grand stand, so could lean back or stand up without people behind me.

Thanks, we've put down for grandstand 11 which seems to avoid the problems you highlighted with number 12, but if we don't get that in the ballot then we'll go for the hairpin. Still just under a couple of weeks before we know.
