Why so much hate on button? lets hope for a McLaren 1-2 with button making one less pitstop and ham attacking the redbulls harder than ever (although he stated he will be satisfied with 3d place, cause of the previous dnfs  ) He have the race pace to do it so lets hope for the best result for both drivers. Mac Attack

I think Webber just isn't suited to the new tyres while Sebs liking them!

He's had 4 fastest laps this year. Vettel? None. He's got the speed, something is not right bud.

He's not able to make the tyres last as long.

Not pleased that Hamilton is playing down his chances, and saying he'll happily take 3rd.

This comes after saying he won't change his approach. He never usually comes out with this.

Don't forget McLaren are normally a lot closer to the red bulls in race trim.I would guess he means happy with 3rd in quali, as he maybe thinks he might just give them a run for their money today. :hehe:

I'm sure that, once those lights go out, only a win will be acceptable to him. 8-) That's what McLaren expect anyway! 8-)

I dont know what articles youve seen but; " Im excited to be in the fight, we can win from this position"

doesnt seem much like a neuteured Hamilton to me.

And everyone had a go at me when i said i was worried about what Hamiltons coming out with/acting.

Forums got the consistency of a race steward.

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton has set his sights on a European Grand Prix podium finish, all but writing off his chances of overhauling the Red Bulls.

Hamilton has slipped to fourth in the championship after two bad races. He starts third behind the Red Bulls but is keen simply to consolidate.

"We're going to push for the win but after two tough races I'd be delighted to finish third here," said the Briton.

"To get back into the fight is key. Anything more would be a huge bonus."

Simple as that, Qualifying runs arent long enough for Mark to warm up his front tyres, this is what Massa and Schumacher, infact Button too struggled with in 2010, and theyve all improved this year, only Mark hasnt, the air temperature was blistering yesterday and what happened? Mark ended up on the front row.

Hes just struggling with tyre temps, no conspiracies.

Lh; ''...my aim is to finish - at least in the position that I start from. I have had a couple of tough races lately, so third would be absolutely fantastic. Anything more would be a bonus.''

I agree with him about finishing the race, but I am looking forward a win, cause with vettel so far ahead, 3d place is no good at all. (I'll hate to see vettel take another win). anyway lets hope for the best!

As much as I can see that Vettel is a great talent, I'd be gutted if he won today.

Just because he is third in quali doesnt mean he wont be challenging for the race win. This season it may look like Redbull are extremely dominant due to their quali performances but if you compare race pace Mclaren are pretty close. We saw last race that even if Seb didnt mess up Jenson would probably have overtaken him with the DRS on the last lap anyway, we were robbed of that overtake but it is impossible to deny that it was not likely.

Redbull may have the front row but in the race Lewis still has a chance.

Indeed, McLaren should be much closer on race-pace, as we usually see. :)
