Formula One related discussion.

You'd think they'd be able to get better PR representation. The glasses do look cheap because they are cheap, high profit margins is the reason they can pay Alonso's fees as a spokesperson. We had the discussion amongst the moderators about this thread and decided to keep it because it didn't actually infringe on any of the rules and what the hell it's an F1 driver, but the second a link is posted trying to sell the item or point the membership to the PR firm, its a locked thread. We know what it is... let's not make it so obvious por favor.

ADENDUM: oops, just noticed there were some snuk in links, not nice. If you're going to try and be clever at subculture PR at least post something not directly lifted from the web site.

Yep, some of you guessed it.

Fernando Alonso has officially joined some of the most prominent athletes on the Planet as part of the Oakley Family. Full Story:

So, lemme get this straight. Your name is OneIconSports. You post asking what badarse shades Alonso is wearing, comment that kids love them and then answer that he is sponsored by Oakley complete with a pic. I take it Oakley is now represented in our forum and advertising through posts? You've commented on nothing other than this thread, so I'm assuming you are a corporate advertising party of some sort? Do you pay the forum for such advertisement?

For the record...those glasses are Fugly. Cheaply made cast in thick plastic is so 80's.....

Definitely didn't come to argue. But don't let the looks fool you. There are 600+ patents on that thing, so it's definitely not just plastic.

Not trying to be clever. Just starting discussion and sharing facts. You don't have to pay attention if you're not interested
