Right, so as you all might of seen on various F1 news dispensers across the board, theres some pretty strange stuff going on, thought id create this thread and keep the silly things in a silly place. I will give you the websites in which these silly stories are reported on request, but you should be able to find them no trouble yourself.
Button to Ferrari, or Mclaren?: Various News sites have gathered reports that Ferrari are looking to sign Jenson Button for the 2012 season as a replacement for dear Phillip Massa. According to a source at Ferrari theres been " a lot of talk" about getting onboard to the scuderia team. Apparently Ferrari have already had a chinwag with Mclaren to see if he's up for sale. However it seems Mclaren are determined to do whatever is possible to keep Lewis and Jenson their drivers for the foreeable future.
Is this a true call to replace Felipe Massa with a better No.2 driver? Or a clever marketing ploy by Jensons manager to keep the dollars flowing in from Mclaren? Ferrari have since stated (again) that these rumours are "twaddle". Very silly indeed.
No more Engine Maps: In another shocking move from the ever-so certain FIA, they have written to the teams to explain to them that they are no longer allowed to change the engine mapping between qualifying and the race. The new directive will come into force at this weekends European Grand Prix.
Are they doing everything they can to make this season exciting by banning everything that makes Red Bull so quick?
Red Bull to sponsor US GP?: Apparently Red Bull are set to end their involvement in the US racing series Nascar. The suggestion is that this budget will now be spent on being the title sponsor of the US GP when it returns to Texas in 2012.
Feel free to add as they come along, i didnt include the diffuser ban and Lewis-red bull as its already been/being discuseed but add more info on it as it comes in!
