It would help a lot more if his teammate could either drive as fast as him, or not crash into him when he's trying to make up ground from now onwards.

It would also help if Hamilton didn't try to overtake in impossible situations.

Yes trying overtake on the straights is an impossible idea, no one's tried that before.

Funny that you pick the one example for which Hamilton has accepted fault.

Lol...clearly, ask Barrichello!

Lewis is exploring a better option that'll bring him the WDC - though I think if he manages to win it in his car atm over the RBs, then I think it'll be that much more satisfying!

It'll be a pity to see the end of the relationship with Jenson though, given how (apparently) well it is going and after how well they made up after their incident.

Team politics. Its a great opportunity to show the one thing McLaren has over Redbull - more PR savvy drivers.

What Lewis did was normal...take a tow and the move to one side to try and get alongside. Jenson moved with him until Lewis got crushed between him and the wall. Is this so hard to see? Are you denying that Jenson caused Lewis to hit the wall? Seriously.

It's not wise to repeat almost the same thing McLaren had with Alonso and Hamilton. But, time will tell...

there is a big difference there, alonzo is a prick, and vettel isn't.

Yo let me say my bit here; I like Lewis but moving to Red Bull would be a jack move. The same team he referred to as a 'drinks company' well what if they had a slump as he moved there? Then what would they be? A drinks company, that's all. They don't have the heritage of Mclaren, even when Mclaren are not on top there is a dignity that they possess, a great British racing icon, perveyors of the legendary Silver Arrows. These drivers are too fickle these days, wheres the loyalty? Oh and to whoever said Sebestian and Lewis wouldn't work with 'drivers of their calibre' what about Lewis and Jenson? Jenson is as just a good as driver as Lewis is, they push eachother and are a British dream team. Jenson is easily one of the best drivers out there, he excels in every situation and keeps a calm head, sometimes Lewis lets his enthusiasm get the better of him and commits to risky maneuvers which is understandable, although Jenson rarely makes any mistakes at all.

Every team has their ups and downs. Red Bull are peaking at the moment. But as we've seen with Ferrari, McLaren, Williams, Lotus, Benetton, Renault and Brawn, this will not remain this way. I think a move to RBR just because they've had three mighty seasons is not necessarily a wise option, because a slump is on the cards sooner or later.

Two and a half seasons not three.

New engines, new Reqs and a clean slate for 2013 and who knows who'll be out on top. RB has Newey and that's going to tilt thins in their favor but the less dependence on aerodynamics the less his influence becomes. At this point with the asswhipping they're receiving by RBR I'm surprised Ferrari and McLaren aren't begging for a complete rewrite of the regulations and for new engines.

Lewis? PR Savvy? If you say so.

Jenson moved according to the racing line like EVERY OTHER DRIVER did on that part of the track. This was not simply a "straight" as you put it - there is a bend for which the drivers need to hit an apex, and that means moving to the outer edge of the track beforehand. That is why Jenson was GRADUALLY moving to the outside of the track (even before Lewis made the move to the outside). Lewis picked a bad spot to try the pass, which is not Jenson's fault. He could have just as easily decided to pass him on the inside, but he didn't.

How is Hamilton going to RBR repeating 2007?

Vettel is NOT Like Alonso. He is more of a Jenson Button. Fast guy, a "nice bloke" in the the fastest car - Vettel is no way in any shape or form hewn from the same cloth as Alonso or Hamilton... those two are competitive animals that know no bounds. Mama's boy would just be pushed aside in his own team when a big dog like Hamilton comes into the yard.

Really??? more like he will just continue to outperform him, as he does with Webber..

[Flynn]

Seb would not out perform Lewis or Jenson for that matter. He's a good driver but at the moment he is a boy amongst men.

[Ineluke]

This makes me laugh. Anyone thinking Lewis is down and out is delusional and wishful thinking. We still have a long way to go and all of the leading drivers will have a DNF before the end of the season,i would much rather Lewis has his moments now and move on.

Last year Vettel was crashing into team mates and other drivers and Mark Webber had his fair share but suddenly Lewis has a couple of bad races and he is enemy number one.

Imagine if Lewis done this, and they say he is dangerous?

As for the Button move..

Martin Brundle subs it up nicely..

In his collision with Button, though, I feel Hamilton is a bit of a wronged man.

I don't agree that it was more Hamilton's fault than Button's. Jenson clearly knew Lewis was there after he was slow exiting the final chicane - his head tilts twice as he is watching Lewis hard in his mirrors. The incident is 50-50 blame in my view at best. Jenson said post-race that he had apologised to Lewis.

Button was partly at fault in his incident with Ferrari's Fernando Alonso.

Hamilton and Button collide in Canada
If you compare the collision between Button and Alonso with that between Paul di Resta and Nick Heidfeld, I'm not sure Button was any less to blame than Di Resta was - and the Scot got a penalty, even though he had a damaged front wing and therefore had already paid the price for the contact.

Alonso was ahead, Button was no more than halfway alongside and the Spaniard was entitled to turn in. He gave Button space, and the McLaren under-steered on the slippery kerbs into the Ferrari.

He did two 'Lewis' moves in canada. One against lewis, one against Alonso. So how can you say he keeps a calm head and lewis does risky manoeuvers?

Is that a serious comment??

[albertz33]

mine or his comment?

How can anyone say that either Hamilton or Button would outperform Vettel in a hypothetical Red Bull team? Are you seriously saying that its not Vettel its the car? im a Maclaren fan, but you cant deny sheer talent when you see it..

Therefor I disagree!
