It was this same achilles heel that had them drop down two laps in Barcelona.

That was more compound related than temperature - Ferrari have been fast on both tyre types all weekend here.

I hear it's raining in Montreal as i type now however, if it stays wet it's a total trip into the unknown, we only have FP1 from Turkey as a reference point but even that didn't show much. Next 5 hours are going to go slowly...

That is one of the best and most surprising things about F1 for me, the fans are superb, everyone gets along with no trouble at all. You meet all sorts at the GP's it just adds to the flavour!

My best GP ever was back when Senna was racing. I was about twelve, a huge Senna fan, surrounded by Brazilians who were screaming "ole, ole, ole ola, ola SENNA!!!" The whole grandstand was shaking. They took me under their wing, there I was, nerdy British girl stomping and shouting with the beautiful Brazilians. I have a pic of it somewhere, I'm wearing corduroy knickerbockers <- this verifies the story.

Two days later, my parents left on a worldwide adventure. first stop: Rio De Janeiro. Plane was full of the same Senna fans.

This is my favourite F1 story :wavey:

Patiently awaiting those 'corduroy and knickerbockers' pic's  !!!!

Okay, some weather info i got from elsewhere, the guy seemed to know what he was talking about (think he's near the track)... here's what he said:

Weather Update (9:30am Montreal Time)

Image 1 is from the Montreal Radar Sweep and shows that blob I described in my previous post from Toronto inching its way closer to Montreal. i think this will hit the track before the race starts. Image 2 is from the Ottowa Radar Sweep and shows the blob and its big brother not too far off it. These are both of those rain bands from Toronto I described hours ago. it looks like they will hit the track and it will be a fully wet Canadian GP, I just hope it is not enough to make a safety car start.....I'll put another radar map up before the start of the GP! make no mistake, they are both heading directly for Montreal!

It made me replay that moment at least 5 times during the breaks.

Montreal drizzle predicted to continue all day, getting heavier. Bad spray in support races - high chance of safety car start in GP #BBCF1

Not a safety car start, I want to see Fernando charge.

Argh, SC starts suck, you lose the most exciting part of the race! :(
#260128
so true, with alonso's start form you really don't want to miss it! i will be interested to see if mclarens setup does justify the loss of qualy position, but then again maybe they wouldn't have been ahead on ferrari anyway.

Definitely raining... <i mean wet>

Questions are if they will use extreme wet or the inters and if the race will start with the SC. So far, from what it looks like, doesnt look like they'll need a SC start.

ohhhhh i'm getting nervous......

Good Lord! Emerson Fittipaldi has quite the schnozz on him

Anyway, looks like it's stopped raining for now, so fingers crossed on the safety car issue.
