I just don't get it, no one does. Lets not blame Capello for not either. Why when in an England shirt, do the likes of Terry always seem to have a massive brain freeze and seem unable at times to perform simple passes.

The media though, always go for quick solutions, simple points they like to pick on, its something bigger and deeper than that. Also, its clearly some sort of collective mental block.

Just realised England have a match today! I'll be a bit gutted if we can't beat Switzerland.

Lemme know how it turns out :P

Switzerland; it'll be a walkover... oh hang on... held to a 2 - 2 draw... is that Fabio Capello committing suicide I hear?

:hehe::P:hehe:

2 stupid mistakes got em the draw. Oh well... Wilshere is such a ray of hope though, he was excellent.

I think the biggest problem is the people of England. There is too high a hopes placed on the players, too much pressure.

On a brighter note, Australia beat New Zealand 3-0 in Adelaide yesterday :D

Seriously, the British tabloids are the players/managers worst enemy....not just for football, but also tennis. Look at Henman and Murray. Only the cricket team packs some punch since people don't really.......yeah that's it. :D:P

Aye, the pressure is too much, and of course the more they fail and trip up, the more they'll feel the pressure.

More frustrated by the 2 errors, at least we didn't lose and we're still top of the group so all is still ok...

Just when I think going to England matches can't get any worse, something happens to prove me wrong :hehe: The turstiles didn't work properly,as they are done by computer there was no staff to let you in manually.Hense missed the frist 17 minutes, which wasn't a bad thing as it goes :hehe:
Once again a great trip ruined by the football :hehe: Did we have anyone other than Wilshire or Young playing, from my seat i didn't think so :hehe:

Not well, no... The rest were either annonymous or just crap :hehe:

You know that there is a problem when some of the top players refuse to don an England shirt; 10 years ago players would be tripping over themselves to represent their country.

Trevor Brooking on England "deserters" on the BBC website.

Good riddance. The fewer big egos the better for the team!

The problem is that certain players, John Terry, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Peter Crouch (it seems) etc just expect to get picked automatically; they play brilliantly in their respective club shirts but play poorly in an England shirt; is it simply fatigue as Capello claims or is it simply that these players are too self absorbed and not capable of playing as a team unit?!?!

I can understand it more with guys like Terry and Gerrard cause they're the best we have in their respective positions, but Crouch has to be having a laugh retiring just cause he couldn't get in the team, i mean actual wtf?! Carragher retired for the same reason, it's an absolute joke given the other players in their relative positions!

heres what i think....

terry- get rid of he, hes rubbish and over the hill
lampard- see above
crouch- not good enough
rooney- good but not world class
defoe-unsure
swp- total rubbish and overrated
so i think its time for new blood and bring it players that are hungary and really want to play for england, so bring it people like henderson, ashley young, joe hart ( whos playing), you know lets get rid of the too much time and money players!!

then you got numpties like darren lewis from the mirror saying we are world class, huh more like world chumps!!!! :hehe:

Australia also drew 0-0 with Serbia. But this was just a friendly. If it were real Australia is better than those Serbs. Afterall you did beat them when it counted in the last World Cup.:hehe:
