Your reputation precedes you billindenver. While others have said the same thing you're saying, you're the first to begin throwing stones at the points of views of others and no one would find that surprising. Let's agree to strongly disagree, and continue to make posts on this thread that are free from chastising others who's opinions you don't like.
McLaren disagrees with you.
And let me play along with (if) he is over rated.............where does that leave Jenson Button who can not beat Lewis in a straight up fight???
The difference is that no-one ever really rates Jenson Button do they? I've heard everything from "he's just plain slow" to "he's not a worthy world champion" on this forum.
I understand what you are saying WB but what I consider to be a great driver is someone who is aggressive (for example Jenson's drive in Brazil 2009) when needed but calm and collected at other times, picking and choosing where to attack; for Lewis it's basically all or nothing which can be a plus on some circuits and a big negative on others.
^^
Vettel were much more philosophical and calm about it and didn't let it affect them to the same degree that Hamilton does when things go wrong.
Like when he crashed Webbber and blamed him? Or when he crashed Button? What about the drive through where he was throwing his hand out all pissy because he didn't know the safety car rules?
Short selective memory?
Well, if he keeps doing it like this, we'll have another Takuma Sato.
Hamilton is overrated.
Many people, including himself, think he is the best there is. When he simply and obviously isn't. Surely could win some more championships, he's quite young; but today, Hamilton is neither a leader nor a team player.
So mind you,who do you think can beat Lewis in the same car throughout a season?
Your wasting your time. Not specifically with f1ea, but anyone thats going to say he "OBVIOUSLY isnt the best" " hes overrated"
What the actualdoes he have to do, for people to acknowledge his talent. His outstanding talent.

So, I am not objective because I think he's overrated?? hmmm that's strange. How come you're not objective to think he is the best when he's made all the bonehead mistakes he's made??????
Overrated-ness comes from his fans and himself proclaiming he is the best, and comparable to Senna. So, in the context of him being the best, and comparable to Senna... YES HAMILTON IS OVERRATED.
Who i think would beat him throughout a season:
1. Alonso, Vettel, Kubica, possibly Nico rosberg, possibly Button.
Now hold your panties... you're going to say he beat Alonso. No he didnt. They had equal points, Alonso threw away a podium because of the episode in Hungary, and Ron Dennis admitted Mclaren were racing Alonso.
Vettel and Nico do not and have not raced against him. who cares...
i can say Vettel is definitely better than Hamilton because he has shown 10x the ability to: 1) focus on more things than simply the car ahead, 2) concentrate and ignore BS, 4) not go to the media and rant about BS, 5) Not having to lie to the stewards for things top drivers shouldnt be doing, 6) drive fast as bloody hell, 7) taking his penalties without worrying if people hate him and most importantly:LEARN FROM HIS MISTAKES.
All these guys are fast, but there are some other things that separate the fast from the great. And Hamilton has not shown these.
But you guys loooooove to focus on the teammate thing, simply because he matched Alonso in his best season... but really, Massa beat Kimi terribly. And do you seriously think massa is better??
Like I've always said: Great drivers should stand on their own. Until then, he's a 2nd rater. But you guys, and himself think he isnt... so he's overrated.
