....... we should take it to 1 of the local conspiracy theorists and maybe they can find out.

It was Alguersuari's Toro Rosso Going into the back of Hamilton that caused the crash that brought out the red flag, Hamilton said before the race to watch out for the Toro Rosso's helping Red Bull.

I agree luck was definitely involved. I'm just saying they probably had some valid reason for their strategy.

Ofcourse and given how much Vettel wanted the win they did the only thing they could to win which was go for a strategy with an extremely low chance of working and hope it did, lucky for them everything possible went in their favour so congrats but still super lucky.

Everything that needed to happen for him to win from a drive which should have landed him in 3rd place on any normal day did happen and so he won the race, if that isn't down to luck i have no idea what red bull did to control the outcome of that race, we should take it to 1 of the local conspiracy theorists and maybe they can find out.

Obviously you watched a different broadcast from me. Because on the BBC feed they clearly kept pointing out that Monaco is all about track position, not the battle over tires like on any other track. I call that good thinking, not luck. Even without the red flag, he may have been able to hold off Alo and Button, especially if they started to duel themselves.

Track position doesn't mean much if you are 2-3 seconds off the pace even at Monaco, every driver has clearly said several times when the tyres drop off that cliff you lose 2-3 seconds per lap maybe more and as i said from all the data every team had the tyres should never have lasted 50+ laps let alone 68, so again they went for a strategy that was extremely unlikely and got lucky how is this so hard to understand?

How many accidents does Hamilton have to cause before he seriously injures somebody? He's been getting away with it far too long and this week was just awful driving

We saw from when Vettel was struggling and Alonso and Button were right behind that this is not the case at Monaco. He was holding them behind despite being much slower. Alonso and Button were on fresher tires and he was able to hold them off for several laps before the red flag.

He was much faster than Alonso at the last turn which gave him enough space that Alonso couldn't catch him even with DRS on the 1st corner so he wasn't that much slower, he was actually only 3-4 tenths slower when Alonso was catching him not the 2-3 seconds slower he would have been if the tyres had gone off.

...Lewis was alongside Massa as Massa was going into the corner. It was Lewis's responsibility to anticipate Massa closing the space.

But Massa didn't simply "close the space". He started out that way, but there's a point about halfway in where he clearly turned further into Lewis.

Yes, they call that point the turn in....where you head for the apex of the corner. You will find that drivers do that on every corner. It allows them to change direction....otherwise known as turning. If you look again, you will see that the car ahead of Massa is on an outside line, while the car ahead of him is on an inside line. As a driver looking for a way around the guy in front of you....you don't follow in his track. If he screws up and you are behind him...you are blocked. Massa went inside because the car ahead was outside. That is racing 101. Massa was not at fault here, and anyone who has ever turned a wheel can see that with crystal clarity. Hamilton's line wasn't even possible. He could not make that tight hairpin from so far inside at the entrance. He could not pass Massa on that line. He could not avoid a collision on that line. Hamilton is normally a very good passer....but he had a very off day and he paid for it....as did those he collided with.

The evidence is there clearly to see yet they want to turn the other cheek. Notice how they don't want to admit that Massa made 2 turns to defend which is illegal. How does it go..."you can take to horse to water.....ya di ya di ya".

Funny for the majority of that race drivers were following each other around that corner not taking the line Massa did, maybe they didn't read the racing manual you did?

Also funny since Schumacher managed 2 overtakes on that exact same line Hamilton was on against Hamilton himself and Rosberg and both times he managed it perfectly fine.

Maybe you should watch the race again because clearly you missed alot.
