Well this was actually yesterday, not today but I finally identified a new bird that I had not seen before. It's a yellow-rumped warbler. They're fidgety little buggers, I can't seem to get a picture of it. It's actually a male and a female pair, but they stay in one place only for a few seconds or buried deep within a pine so I can't get a clear or well focused shot.

I love seeing birds in our garden. We had a blackbird who nested about 1 metre from the kitchen door last spring. It was awesome as we could see her chicks as they grew up, but also really annoying as I didn't use the kitchen door as I didn't want to upset her or her brood.

Not today but at the weekend went to the Prescott Hill Climb, lots of awesome cars on display and doing the hill climb. Renault 5 group B car was a highlight! Got to travel in a Mercedes 300SL (and go up the hill) too which was an unbelievably cool experience. :P

Goodwood in a few weeks, can't wait. :D

Gullwing 8-) original ('58) body and dash/interior but modern AMG engine, suspension, tranny etc. Epic car, 385bhp ish from the 6.0 V8 and no TC or anything... got the odd pic, i'll post when i get round to hooking up my phone to the computer.

Today I mourned the death of a dear old friend. Her name was Betsy, she has been my constant companion for three years. We've had our ups and downs (she could be very temperamental), but through it all, the poor dear has always been reliable.

Last night, some yoots decided to take dear ole Betsy and have their way with her. They spun her around and around (I'm sure it's the best fun she'd had in quite a while), then they set her alight.

The first I heard of her demise was delivered by cops pounding on my door at 3am, I answered the door bleary eyed and could scarcely believe the news (I wish I hadn't decided that this was the week to attempt some wine home-brewery, Lord knows what the coppers thought).

Yeah, so. My car was stolen last night, cops were alerted because the yoots were doing some hand-brake turns. By the time cops arrived, Betsy was on fire.

RIP Betsy! You went out with a bang :drink:
