vettel got away with it today, he managed his tyres well enough to be worthy of the win, but its a pretty hollow one.

Huh? Why hollow? Had it been JB doing the tire managing, everybody on here would go ooh and ahh about his smooth driving style, but when SV shows the skill of a champion it's luck (as many on here stated) and hollow.

Switching to newer tires with 5 laps to go = skills of a champion? Alonso was about to eat him for breakfast when the red came out. U serious? His skills of a champion would've put him second without the red.

He drove 50+ laps with that set of tires FFS And he most likely could have held off FA on this hard-to-overtake track and win it. At any rate, 57 laps on a set that according to Pirelli should last 30-35 laps at best, that is some skill for you.

That shows how supreme the RB7 is in clean air.

......... i just think if they are handing out penalties for this than they need to follow through in the rest of the season and gives penalties for any minor touching.

That is something I really don't want to see, I said it after singapore when Webber tipped Lewis into the barrier too (in support of Webber btw), the rules are giving them too much comfort although I know safety's an issue but I want to see the driver closing the door having to think of the possible consequences too rather than knowing that if he closes the door when the other guys got his foot in it he's safe and if there's contact then it's the other guys fault.

Massa would have had to go up onto the kerb in order to miss Webber.

Hamilton nudged him into Webber yes but his angle and pace into that corner is what caused the contact with Webber.

So, where else could Massa have gone once Lewis had his nose inside Massa's front wheel? It seems that some people expect that Massa should have just driven straight on into the wall so that the godlike Lewis Hamilton can drive where-ever he wants on the track, no matter whether there is already another car there or not.

The pass was never on, and was an utterly bonehead move on Hamilton's part. No amount of fanboyism will change that, it just reveals that you are blinded by your love for Lewis.

There are quire a few of us who want to see aggressive driving, but there is a line beyond which "aggressive" becomes plain stupid. Hamilton crossed that line today.

Crossing the line for me would have been taking Massa straight out of the race.

He clearly slowed down when he saw Massa turning in which is why neither came out with any noticeable damage.

Its pretty obvious people don't want to hear anything but that Hamilton is a maniac so i guess its pointless to even attempt to discuss this, he got a penalty for it so clearly the stewards in their almighty wisdom agreed with you.

But as i said i just hope they follow suit with their aggressive stance on any type of aggressive overtaking and give penalties for similar incidents and if thats the case i expect to see alot of drive through's given in the remaining races.

No, no-one is insisting on seeing Hamilton as a "maniac" all the time. When Hamilton drives well or makes a great pass, people including myself will commend him on it. But today Hamilton drove one of the worst races I remember, and made a number of bonehead moves, such as his utterly pointless crashing into Massa. People are not criticising because it's Hamilton, people are criticising the events of today because they were stupid driving.

Currently aggressive driving is very frowned upon and anyone even remotely attempting it is guaranteed a penalty so it seems pointless to even try, its come to the point where the driver attempting the overtake is wondering if its even worth it since any kind of contact is going to give him a drive through.

The title is Vettel's, youv'e got to hand it to him, while his 2010 form was far from convincing, he has been absolutely untouchable so far this season.

While some here do not find him good enough, i still don't rate him too high. That's the car's fault, not his.

He shouldn't get pole at only Monza and Canada this year. And that'll be that..

Hamilton has a problem in that he's making too many enemies these days. No one will give him an inch even though he is faster than the lot of them IMO.

Put Lewis in an RB7 and lets see how he and Seb stack up. Thats the only test these days, as the way things are going this season, the rest are all looking like they are pushing their fecking car around, they are so slow IMO (look at Alonso in Spain ffs, lol.)

Hamilton pretty much stopped his car and got dragged around the corner by Massa so its not like Hamilton drove straight into him at speed is what i was pointing out, i apologise if that was too hard to understand.

Props to you for being able to evaluate the situation objectively, rather than just assuming that your own Team's guy is in the right.

What your saying should be a non-issue, but some people, and its always some over most, ruin it for everyone, by being so frustrated at not getting laid recently/ever that they enjoy mucking about with essentially, strangers on the internet.....

Its only natural for people to generalise and as such every camp thinks everyone elses are cheats and hate their own.

You really have a lot to learn about motor racing if you think you have to take someone out to cross the line.Maybe read the rules before commenting? .Don't get me wrong i'm far from perfect with my limited formula first experience, but I think I might be slightly ahead of you
