Just watching the re-run what the hell was Lewis thinking about trying that move on Massa pure stupidity.

I thought it was pretty obvious, but when people in here defended it I went back and watched it on DVR again. I fail to see how that could be considered anything but an attempt at an opening that didn't exist. He shoved his way through and is lucky it didn't break his right front off in the process. I think he got off lightly with a penalty...it could easily have been a DNF.

As for the race card ,well judging by Bernie attitude for racist behaviour i think Lewis has a point. Many of us are in agreement and it has been obvious from day one.

many of us? how many exactly? a couple of Hamilton fanboys on an internet forum? please...

i'm actually sympathetic to Lewis on this one. He made an idiotic unfunny joke out of frustration that wasn't meant to be taken at all seriously and sadly there's no doubt going to be a massive overreaction.

Really, anyone would think that Lewis was the only one to clip another car in today's race lol.

Their were touches going on all over the place,Petrov ended up in hospital because of one but i guess that's not juicy enough for you.

The Massa incident was 50-50.

Let's look on the bright side,Lewis is still ahead of Jenson and the rest of the field, let's hope that Vettal has a couple of off days.

As a Mclaren fan you should be happy he is still second and hope Vettal slips up.

You are happy he keeps second place, right?

There are always fans who will always say that their idol is in the right, no matter how obviously they are in the wrong. What's worrying is that Lewis seems to be believing it too.

Your boy blew it today. He blew it in a huge way and then he stuck both feet in his mouth during the interview.

Don't really see how he blew it....

He started so far back and with how next to impossible it is to overtake at Monaco if he hadn't gone for the risky approach he would have probably finished the race 9/10th but because of his risky and aggressive driving he finished 6th.

He also only technically took out 1 driver (Maldonado) and even that was more of a racing incident instead of a deliberate crash, Massa crashed himself by going offline and Alguersuari drove straight into the back of Lewis as Lewis was trying to avoid hitting an out of control Sutil.

You can blame him for taking out all 4, hell blame him for Perez crash yesterday aswell if you like but it still wasn't his fault.

His interview was funny and was simply a rant with a stupid British joke that i guess most found way too offensive but it was still a joke.

 take your blinkers off he wasn't within half a car length of being near an overtake, let alone get the past.Thats is not a normal overtake place, yes once or twice it has been.Hense when Lewis himself got caught by Schumi

Oh, god and here we go,do we really need reminding of something that is in full discussion in this thread.

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10441

Is this just a stealth thread to have a dig at Lewis, come on admit you really want this thread to turn into an anti Hamilton thread.

No other reason than to stir it up billthebender. :nono:

As for the race card ,well judging by Bernie attitude for racist behaviour i think Lewis has a point. Many of us are in agreement and it has been obvious from day one.

I expect this thread from you though, some things are just ingrained.

So your defense of what he said is that Bernie is ok with such things? Bernie? I'm sorry man, but that's weak. It's incredibly weak. Are you also going to claim that you had nothing negative to say about Bernie when he didn't penalize fans for being stupid? What exactly do you think Bernie could have done in that instance? A drive through penalty for half a dozen drunk idiot fans? In this case however, it's a driver....talking to reporters...at a racetrack. Completely different from fans acting stupid.

Surely you can do better than a play on my screen name. Seriously, that's all you got?

Back on topic. When I made the thread I didn't realize this was in a full rage discussion in the Monaco thread. We don't get BBC over here, so I didn't see the interview as quickly as you likely did.

Really! you didn't realise their was a full disccusion going on about this subject in the Monaco thread yet you made post in that thread on this subject. :yikes:

Just admit you started this thread knowing the discussion was going on in the other thread just so you could stir it up and have your dig.

The shackles were taking off over a long time ago no need to hold grudges.

Better to close this thread, wouldn't you agree billthebender.

This internet thing is just too complex for you isn't it? Check the time stamps little guy....I made this thread before I looked in on the Monaco thread...like I said. Perhaps you should send some PM's to one of the mods who started your little play on my name...maybe he will close this thread for you. I was given a board warning for spelling Hamilton's name wrong...perhaps they will give you a medal for your juvenile wit.

In the meantime, Hamilton said some pretty stupid things following a race in which he did some pretty stupid things. Does that make him the worst driver on the grid? No, he is just a driver who had a bad day and then made it worse by running his mouth before seeing the video. He hasn't done that in quite a while...since his dad was dismissed actually, so I'm assuming there is a behind the scenes coach that is showing him the error in his ways at this moment. I suspect we will see a press conference apology shortly.

Edit - and there you have it. Apology given

What an amazing race - if it hadn't been for the (dubious) red flag 10 laps from the end, Fernando or Jenson would have won without doubt. A shame that the teams were allowed to change tyres on the grid during the red flag period - that is what gave the race to Vettel. The saying goes that 'you make your own luck' - in Vettel's case he has had quite an amount made for him. I am sure it will even out over the season..........

Nah i think 50-50..

Let's look on the bright side,Lewis is still ahead of the rest of the field other than Vettel, let's hope that Vettal has a couple of off RACES.

Nah, you're wrong. No where near 50-50...hence the penalty.

I would like to know what you are implying by saying am I happy Lewis is still 2nd in the title race????

No I'm not I want him to be in the lead as it happens. But today he drove like an idiot.I love his driving style its kinda like my idol Senna's (I said like not as good  ) But today he was woeful. The two overtakes he got done for he deserved to.

I have always been a Hamilton fan and have always supported him whenever silly decisions have been made against him...but when i saw his interview afterwards with the bbc there was a moment of 'omg he didnt just say that...i cant believe he said that' but its true what the presenters said...we are always wanting for the drivers to be honest and to try and get them to break out of just giving us the most boring and mundane replies...and this was how Hamilton felt after the race...he felt victimised and thought that it was a joke that he has been called up the the stewards 5 times out of 6 races...in the past races i didnt agree with the stewards getting involved but today i admit that he needed to get penalised on the moves he made....its a shame to see a fantasically talented f1 driver loose his cool in such a way but at the end of the day he is only human and if you feel a certain way then why not let people know how you feel...i hope to see him cool, calm and collected when they get over to Canada (although we shall have to see what the FIA decide to do about the situation) hopefully Lewis and Mclaren will get there heads together and finally put a stop to Vettel's dominance and i have a feeling that Lewis is the only one who can get close enough

Also gonna love and see how his PR team will try and spin this :D

One thing i want to know since i haven't seen anything relating to this.

Did the contact between Massa and Hamilton actually cause damage to either car? we saw some damage i guess but it seemed more on Hamiltons car and nothing at all on Massa's, Ferrari haven't claimed otherwise from what i can see.

So the question is did Hamilton cause damage or did he get a penalty for touching wheels with Massa? from what has been said Massa went off the racing line when he crashed he didn't claim his car was damaged and that is what caused the crash.
