In summary and I hope you all agree it was a great race and one we have not seen at Monaco in what 15-20yr's?

I must confess as it was monaco i didn't bother to watch.i think that shows what the last 15-20 years there have been like :hehe:

Well, you missed an action-packed one.....

Action packed yes, overtaking ???,all I've heard on here was it was enjoyable, but I haven't heard of a single overtake that hasn't had the stewards involved.
I've been a F1 fan for many years but I hate the Monaco GP.Yes it has the glitz and glamour ,but i'm not bothered about that.I want to see great racing ,which is something that doesn't/can't happen there.I understand why the drivers love the challenge but from a spectators points of view I think its pointless.
Formula one has out grown the place,if it wasn't for all the money people it would of been dropped years ago.
p.s. Lewis playing the race card makes you look an idiot.
rant over :hehe:

Well Schumacher overtook Hamilton without a penalty, with Hamilton returning the favour later on. There's two examples I can think of right away.

I can understand why you hate Monaco though. It's not even the best street circuit IMO.

When Schu overtook Lewis wasn't that the first corner when they hit each other and Lewis thought he had a puncture?(only see what the bbc website said,i was at work during the GP)or did it happen again ?.If so i hardly think the first corner counts do you

BLAH BLAH BLAH....hence my conclusion: HE SHOULD NOT OF SAID WHAT HE SAID.

Again...in English....why should he not have said what he said?

Act your age, unless your twelve. Quote everything i actually said like an adult that isnt mentally deficient and then ill answer you. Deal?

It was a very good race. Perhaps not the best in all that long... but it was a very good classic Monaco race. Had it not been for the strange ending, but then again, Monaco is classic for those kind of events.......

The battle for the lead was incredible. To have that big crash happen right in front of the leading 3 cars on the pool section... that was epic. I'm sorry it ruined the last 10 laps of the race... but man, that was amazing.

Other than that... i really can't see how anyone could possibly defend Hamilton after this race. He made mistakes all over, and got handed the regular and expected penalties for the mistakes he made; which not only were out of order, but also had race-ending consequences for the other drivers. Then he goes on complaining about the stewards and the drivers defending when he is one of the dirtiest defenders on the grid. Shut up and take it like men, stop acting like there's some grand conspiracy scheme and that the 'stewards' are ruining racing :irked: own up!!

Hamilton is the perpetual rookie.

You've got to be kidding me.....

May 29 (PVM) Lewis Hamilton was livid, and hinting at victimisation, at the end of an incident packed Monaco Grand Prix which saw him involved in a number of skirmishes on his way to sixth place from ninth on the grid despite a penalty for his part in an incident with Felipe Massa.

The 2008 Formula 1 World Champion told BBC, “It’s an absolute frickin’ joke. I’ve been to see the stewards five times out of six this season.”

When asked why this was the case he replied, “Maybe it’s because I’m black. That’s what Ali G says.”

Commenting on the incident with Ferrari driver Massa, Hamilton said, “Massa held me up in qualifying, I got the penalty. He turned in to me [during the race], I got the penalty. These drivers are ridiculous. It’s stupid.”

The Briton could be in hot water for his outburst as FIA have a clause that penalises drivers who bring the sport into disrepute.

But Hamilton is adamant that he has done no wrong, “People want to see racing. But you get done trying to put on a show, trying to make a move. Fair play, if I feel I’ve gone too late I’d hold my hand up to admit I’ve caused an incident. But it’s not the case.”

“I’ll just try and keep my mouth shut and try to enjoy the rest of the season. It’s not too late [to win the world championship] but it’s not looking great. I gave my all today and the team did a great job. It’s character-testing, whether it’s right or wrong. I’m going to go chill [now], do some jet-skiiing, and try to stay out of trouble,” he added.

Hamilton still lies second in the 2011 World Championship but the gap to points leader Sebastian Vettel has grown to 58 points.

I've been amused in the past by the amount of times he has made mistakes on track and blamed others. I've been irritated by some of the 'monkeys at the back' comments and other ugly things he has said about drivers...but this outburst takes the cake. I hope the FIA smacks him around for this one, because if anyone had used race in a comment about him they would be blasted out of the water. It was uncalled for and stupid to say such a thing to reporters. He pulls a bonzai at the hairpin and that's Massa's fault but they blamed Hamilton because he's black? Unbelievable. He should have kept his mouth firmly shut until he saw the video....it was pretty clear that he was at fault. Even the Speed commentators, who love Hamilton, said immediately that he was going to get a penalty.

@f1ea's comment: Oh god, here we go again. I'm gonna take a break because this is going to get vicious... :drink:
