Nothing beats the joy of seeing a smashed up Ferrari.

That is a rather harsh thing to say :( . Any REAL racing fan does not say such things even against their fiercest rival's. Remember it's all about the racing first and then personal selection second.

It was a great race and I'm looking forward to Canada (DD promised me some pic's from the stand, did I put ya on DA SPOT DD?).

Oh I was only joking. Team rivalry, you know? 8-) And saying I'm not a "REAL" fan is rather harsh too :crying:

Got it on youtube finally...

I might be completely slated for this, but I agree with his every word. Except the black part of course...

He knows it himself, those 2 guys turned on a car when there was no space anymore in the corner, and the car which is OVERTAKING is automatically blamed today. Is it the track, being Monaco, screwing with the stewards perspectives? Or are their heads f***ing screwed anyway? One shall never know.

Two thumbs up from me for Lewis' driving today. Whatever anyone might say, it was a tiger's drive, and the only guy who was seriously giving it his all. Other two drivers who came close were Alonso and Koba.

I fear Hamilton is really going off the rails tbh, wish he had his 2007 attitude.

Id like to see ANYONE DARE disagree with me after watching Hamiltons post race BBC forum interview, DARE.

Why do you feel your so magnetic to the stewards " maybe because im black"

I think, think that was a joke...

Are you telling me that somehow makes it normal dialogue to say?

" For the last 5 of 6 races ive been called to the stewards its frickin ridiculous, frickin ridicoulous."

" (why are you so attracted to to stewards) i dunno maybe its cause im black, thats what ali g says (laughs)

Can you just wait if you havent seen it till i or someone posts the link. My jaw hit the floor, he just would not shut up, and everything he said was like :yikes: .

What is normal dialogue to you I'm wondering? I appreciate people that tell it like it is rather than beat around the bush because of "powers that be" or PR. Remeber these guys are STILL human beings.

Do you tell your boss at work to shove it up his arse when he wants overtime? Or do you keep your mouth shut and grumble to yourself.

Case closed. No you keep your mouth shut. Wheres your " human being anti-PR" ideology then? Its nowhere, because there are some things for the sake of integrity and unneccesary aggro, you just do not say" If he had said that whole convo behind closed doors to his team then its fine, encouraged even.

What he said, and the manner and posture in which he presented it was totally inappropriate.

When ALonso got through?? Alonso was right behind Vettel, and Jenny was keeping a breathing space all the time praying to his Tyre Gods for some mistake from the 2 in front! There was no attempt whatsoever.

And McLaren and their strategy, yeh, no surprise there they simply made life hard for Jenson, as they normally do for both their drivers. My point is Jenson doesn't deserve driver of the day, all he did was drive fast when he's ahead and then simply follow other cars like a puppy tail. He didn't have Vettel's pressure, Alonso's pressure/aggression on Vettel.

Id agree he doesn't really take chances and he isn't even close to as aggressive as Lewis but Button given the chance is 1 of the best overtakers in the sport currently and he has proven that time and time again, and Monaco doesn't exactly give you many chances especially against a faster car.

And Vettel wasn't really ever under pressure since the Ferrari wasn't fast enough in the decent areas to overtake to even keep up with Vettel let alone overtake him so i wouldn't say Vettel was even close to being the best driver of the day, he got super lucky and got gifted the win due to his amazing luck.

In summary and I hope you all agree it was a great race and one we have not seen at Monaco in what 15-20yr's?

The only thing that Lewis should get punished for is for the Maldonado thing. The BBC only shown the one replay angle during the race but it didn't look good for Lewis. I'm sure the onboard footage should tell the full story.

It really was an astounding race and for the first time...ever? yeah i just did not care where Hamilton came and the fact Vettel won. The race was just that good.

On a side note tex if youd seen the interview with Ham as is being discussed heatedly, youd see why its such a talking point.

I agree but i also agree with the black part as well, hence my links about Bernie comments on the racial abuse Lewis received in 2008.

Anyone thinking that their are not people in F1 who really can't stand the thought of a black person winning the WDC again are delusional.

We saw the good and bad sides of Lewis today. The good when he retook Schumi at St Devote, and then Massa in the tunnel. The grey area of the 2 overtakes where other drivers turned in on him and so far has been given a penalty for one of them. Coulthard even pointed out on the F1 forum how Hamilton had got out of Schumi's way into the hairpin on the first lap when he knew he had him, and yet other drivers werent doing the same. This is the current paradox in F1, they are making it easier to overtake, and yet when a driver like Lewis tries to overtake and it goes wrong, penalties get handed out. As we saw with Di Resta as well.
And then there is the bad, when Lewis is aggrieved he sometimes cant control himself and I was also one cringing when I saw his interview on the F1 forum. Even if it was a joke, playing the black card wont sit well with the stewards and he will have made an already difficult situation even harder for himself.
I like Lewis' driving and like others am always nervous when he goes for an overtake, especially when incidents like today take place as a result. His aggression, speed, fearlessness and never give up attitude remind me a lot of the great G Villeneuve. But his attitude outside the car when things go wrong do let him down a lot.
Having said all that I expect him to come back strong in Canada as he usually does when he has had a bad race, and he usually does well at the circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

After watching the interview, I couldn't believe it. Can you imagine if Alonso did that. He would be crucified by this forum.

This is pathetic on Hamilton's behalf. I guess he needs to send a letter to all drivers informing them that when he tries to overtake them, they can't block him. Massa had no right at all to close the door on Hamilton  After all he had every right to attack Massa but the latter had no right to defend his position :banghead:

I can't believe that anyone would defend Hamilton's behavior today. I know I am going to get in a lot of trouble for saying those things but honestly, Hamilton gives all his critics all the reasons they need to keep piling up on him.

Finally, about the "black" thing. Is he serious? If he had any credibility at all after this statement he lost it. Just sad, very very sad.

PS: during the race, one of the speed tv guys said that Hamilton might get a penalty for Canada. Did anyone hear anything about it?

I actually agree 100% on in regards to Lewis and its amusing everytime i see people complain when drivers actually attempt to race the other cars infront of them instead of sitting behind Vettel waiting for a miracle to happen, the funny thing about the Massa incident is that neither car came out of that with any damage whatsoever from what i could see and yet a penalty was given.

So soon drivers are just going to get given penalties for driving alongside another car maybe? or better yet just give the drivers penalties for just thinking about overtaking, that should remove all this overtaking dangerous stuff and we can all have fun watching a nice colourful parade as they all drive around in qualifying order.

I actually cant stop laughing watching Hamiltons interview, some people need to lighten the hell up as im pretty sure worse has come out of everyones mouth's at times when they are angry, but i guess its different because its on TV? his entire life is broadcast on TV thats how it is.

Asked about the fans who wore black face make-up at the Spanish Grand Prix...

Once again... for anglo-saxons, painting the face in black or yellow color is a matter of racism by culture... but not in Spain, and even less during the carnival (time when that incident happened), it's a common cheap disguise, indeed too cheap, but there's nothing bad about it, there's no hidden message. All we are different and there's no problem with it, tall or short, fat or slim... the color of the skin... there's nothing wrong.

Lewis used to came out very favorably by a lot of decissions from FIA and the stewards, and none of his fans show any problem with that, but suddenly when he's punished, it becames a matter of racism... and I'm not telling he was meaning that, but some fans has to realize that he can fail... he can do things wrong... he's human and can commit mistakes, and this race was a stunt race from him, and telling that this is a prossecution for 'being black' won't help him at all.

Did you hear the part where Hamilton says that weekends like this are "character testing."
Well, you sir, have failed that test today.
