No I shouldn't :) So it hasn't happened in 35 years  exactly my point. Thank you FerrariFan63.

It has happened, and every year in formula one things will happen. So your point is pointless. No point paying out this year already, much too soon.

I will gladly eat my words if I'm wrong, but that's very rare.

What does it mean for you to be "wrong"? No-one isn't saying that it is unlikely that SV will win the title, just that it is too early for bookies to be paying out. For it to be sensible for bookies to be paying out does not imply that it's > 50% chance that Vettel will win. Maybe if it were 99.9% sure, then it'd be reasonable for bookies to pay out. But, the probability is much less than that.

It's one bookie, and he is doing the right thing. It will only take WW3,serious injury or something drastic to stop the inevitable.

You really are suffering some sort of complex aren't you? You are very sensitive when anything Hamilton is discussed. Buck up there little guy...I wasn't insulting your fraternity. If I hurt your fragile, delicate feelings....I apologize.

I don't suffer from any type of complex, on the contrary I have a tendency to remain balanced and objective and call things as I see them, hence now that I have time, I'm responding to you. You like to cast a wide net, given that there are some users here that accept Lewis Hamilton faults and all, that's their decision, and as wrong or misguided it may seem to you it is their opinion to have, yet you are unable to just let it go. For every Lewis Hamilton frat member here, I can point out to you an Alonso one, a Vettel one, yet you don't go out of your way for those. Whatever psychiatric beef you have with the Lewis Hamilton crowd, makes your recollection very selective, just to try and prove your myopic views and desire to perpetuate what you probably feel is a favorite game.

I do however appreciate your apology, it shows you are making an attempt at learning how to function socially.

I said some were declaring Hamilton champ simply because he had a lead and that lead evaporated....same as Vettel's still can. I didn't mention Ferrari blowing a large lead, because they never had a large lead. If you read this thread, you may discover that it's discussing a bookmaker paying out based on....wait for it....a LARGE LEAD in points. In the recent past, Hamilton has lost a large lead so he was the example. Not because I'm picking on you. Not because I want you to cry or anything. It's just that the topic is about large point leads...and....well.... if you don't understand now, I can't dumb it down enough for you to wrap your head around it.

You're just making things up to justify your single purpose in life, and that's troubling. Go back and find a point in last year where Lewis Hamilton had even a 25 point lead over a second place driver in the season, let alone a 50 point lead as is being discussed here. You can stick and stone me dude, but your facade seriously crumbles in that the facts just don't support your make believe world. Sorry, thank you for playing.

This is the last time I have a discussion with you on this topic as it's very tiresome to the community, your raison de vivre, is painfully clear to all, but yourself. You should get that checked out.

I take it this is a case of "I used to be modest, until I found out I was perfect" :)

14 points is now considered a "LARGE LEAD"? with the new points system i wouldn't consider that a large lead at all even a 25 point lead now days isn't really a large lead since that can quite easily be 1 DNF.

Alonso actually had an 11 point lead but i guess that would be a medium sized lead? or maybe small? not sure how exactly you are ranking them.
