Yeah I just saw it.

Damn!!! First qualifying I missed (couldn't miss this date :D ) and Lewis f**ks up royally.

Next time, I'll be holding his hand in front of the TV like I normally do. :hehe:

Maaan how much I want a first corner pile up tomorrow...

God Lewis is big moaner, and a big "poor me" as well

At the end of the day he is in control of the car and can say if he wants to put in a banker, but instead he tries to save some tyres and then blames the team when it goes wrong.

Jenson did a top job today!

And best wishes to Perez, who had been having an excellent weekend to date.

Is there a replacement for him maybe?

Nobody can replace him, once he entered Q, it's him or an empty grid spot.

Shame really, thankfully, he was pretty much unharmed. it was a nasty side-impact; those are always bad. He was doing very good, and he has been doing much beter than Kamui in Q.

Could this turn out to be the best rookie yr in history?? all rookies are doing pretty good (very good Q, even if mixed so-so in races, but thats ok)

Perez will be ok! Too bad he cannot race, he outqualifyed Kobe again. This time Kobe had problems with the car, they started on thursday, but that's not so important. Let's just hope he is up and ready for the next race.

I've just seen the qualifying, and it was pretty eventful. I knew that Perez had been in an accident a I saw it in a shop window when out. Pleased to see he's OK, relatively.

Despite what Alonso says, I think it was arguable who would have been on pole. Vettel had a very quick time in Q3, and in Q2 was only 0.002 of a second behind LH, which is so small a gap it tells us nothing about who is fastest. There have been a number of races where Red Bull held back during the early stages of qualifying, only to really push the boat out in Q3. LH might have been able to challenge or beat SV's fast time, but SV may have been able to improve. We'll never know what would have happened, and I don't think there's enough evidence to really argue either way.

Hopefully we'll see an exciting, clean race tomorrow where driving on the track decides who wins, and no more crashes, please.

Alonso has a good quali slot in 4th, but I don't think the Ferrari is fast enough to beat any of the previous three cars on pace, so it might be another race of hoping he can hold position rather than overtake. However, if he has a start as in last race, then it's likely to do him more good here in Monaco.

I'm no surgeon, but I believe that someone who has a concussion needs to be careful not to get a second one immediately or serious damage can be done. Perez needs to keep himself safe, he's got a whole career in front of him.

You can buy a fair lot of excuses with £70 million. Then again, JB has been doing his fair share of complaining, too. Can't keep heat in the tyres, tarmac's too slick, can't touch the brakes in the tunnel else you lose the diffuser downforce.

I'm fair certain Vettel isn't touching the brake in the tunnel. And I'm fair certain he wouldn't be touching the brake even if he were allowed to open DRS exiting Portier. But JB has telegraphed to Horner/Newey/et Al that the Maccas are having shaky stability through the bend in the tunnel, much to their delight.

The Engineer that suggested that should be SHOT,and Lewis has been disagreeing with strategy all season and the McLaren IDIOTS never listen to him.

You've got a short memory there Fred, because it was less than a week ago Vettel's had over 8 tenths up on the McLaren and yet after a full race distance he finished 6 tenths in front. The gap is even closer this this week, let's wait until tomorrow to declare the winner, as likely as that may be, it's pretty clear that the Red Bull's qualifying gap tends to mean a hell of a lot less come race day.

Has anyone seen how it happened that Lewis cut the chicane? Did he make a mistake and was out of position such that he lost time cutting the chicane? Was he trying to cut the chicane as much as possible and cut it a bit too far due to poor judgement, or was he desperate for time and cynically cut the chicane hoping he'd get away with it?

Right now ive calmed down.......

Vettel will win, Hamilton should do some slicing before he gets to schumacher, who will ruin the rest of his race.

Buttons too much of a pansy to even realise theres a possibility of jumping vettel at the start, he will slot in second place like a good boy.

Tommorows grand prix will be as boring as f*ck.

If Vettel wins tomorrow he's the luckiest man alive. Other than Perez....

Nah if Vettel wins itll just be a decent drive from him, pole to flag, like 100 percent of every win hes got.

the luck for vettel came today, he doesnt need to do much tomorrow.

Two weeks ago, he won from P2 :P

So Vettel gettin gpole by almost 0.5 s is hm being lucky??
 oh these people are just hilarious.

I'm curious too. I find it hard to believe Lewis would cut the chicane with all four wheels. Isn't that the rule? Anything goes as long as one wheel stays in the white lines?

I'm assuming that it must have been all four wheels off the track, which is a pretty major cut. Hopefully we'll see footage of it in the race build-up tomorrow.

I thought I saw him go straight into the chicane and then rejoin the track from the middle/side of the chicane...
