If Ferrari do well here this weekend I wonder if we will here LDM moan and claim Monaco is not a real race track like he usually does the past few years

He would probably propose the 2012 Championship to run 6 races in Singapore, 6 races in Monaco, and 6 races in Valencia.

Im not having a go at Ferrari, just LDM :hehe: its just in the past he has belittled Monaco when Ferrari have not done too well there, saying it is not a real track and shouldnt be on the calendar, but Ferrari as Scotty has mentioned earlier has pretty good mechanical grip, so this track is one track that they can do well at. And if they cant catch up on the regular tracks then this might be their only shot at a win! If that is the case I would love to hear what his opinion of the track is then :P

A quick word on tyres - Alonso did a long stint in FP2 on the supers and his 14th lap was only 0.2s slower than the first lap (i think that's correct). Tyres lasting much longer here then with little drop off. Talk of one stoppers being very possible!

I'm just waiting for people to bin it on the marbles in the race....

Monaco is just a mock up of a track though, but thats why I like it so much.

But dont the super soft (quali tyre) only last about 8 laps? That wont allow for a one stopper.

Ok, I must be missing something. Why are practices on thursday this week?

Because it's Monaco and there are parties and fashion shows on Friday. I'm not sure if that's the real reason but it's always been that way for as long as I can remember.
