I'm not, by any means, a "hamilton fan".

I'm not even anti-Vettel (i think he's a cool guy), but I would like to see someone else win just to make the season more interesting.

Yeah, so youve made a reason for who youd like to win essentially, anyone other then vettel. Hamilton the most likely.

I dont want Vettel to win a race in my lifetime again, ive had long enough of it, but he is going to win monaco, and we all know it.

The next race i dont think he'll win is canada, i think thats Hamiltons trump. Like Kimi in Spa.

I don't deny Vettel's the favorite (hence "going out on a limb"). All I'm saying is I think their advantage isn't as great in Monaco due to all of the low-speed corners. Add to that the new Pirelli compound, and there's a lot of room for unpredictability.

Agree. But then sometimes it is quite a predictable sport, we go into every race where the characteristics are like 0.00001 different to the last track, and make up some clever sounding reasons to suggest someone else might win/ get pole, and what happens every week, red bull pole, red bull win.

That above ^ has been the case since 2010, i think we should have all learned by now that vettels going to win most if not the rest of the races this year. Like Prost in 93, or Schumacher in 04. Its just one of those years, or set of years, touchwood a triplet of years :yikes:

Except in China, where tire strategy defeated RBR. The same could easily happen in Monaco - especially taking into account Lewis's pace compared to Vettel's on similar tires on the last stint in Spain.

I still can't wrap my head around how these guys drive like madmen through those tiny streets. Monaco never ceases to amaze me in that respect.

I have been thinking about the street circuits. You know, everyone raves about Monaco, whereas Singapore has always had lots of critics. I don't know why, when each year they've been on the same calendar together ('08,'09,'10), Singapore has always been the more exciting race. History does a hell of a lot for one's reputation, you see.

Id say spa is lewis' too. Kimi got it by default when Lewis was cheated out of it.

He is pretty handy around Monaco, I've got my fingers crossed especially seeing as the Mclaren boys hinted at a bit of an update but the Red Bull can get it's power down so early Vettel still has the edge, as long as it's a good show I don't mind who wins tbh

Massa? Kimi stuck it in the barrier.

Doesn't matter. She just wanted to say Lewis got cheated out of it. :)

As much as I'm hoping for Vettel to win, I don't think he has it in the bag. I think that Monaco does suit experience mostly, and whilst Vettel had a fantastic race in 08 for STR (starting 19th and finishing 5th) I have a feeling it's more his bogey race. Webber and Schumacher could do well here.

However, the past few years also seems to show that the in-form driver in the rounds leading up to the race usually wins at Monaco. So Vettel likely. And perhaps maybe Sutil needs a good race again to keep his seat?

Nah. Lewis :D

I will go for a Jenson win!

You never know, Monaco is a crazy place, crazy stuff can happen. :hehe:
