Even though I watch the GP's on a pretty big screen, I can't sit back and watch it from the comforts of my couch. No, I almost have to sit with my nose two inches from the screen. I even have this little pouffy foot-rest thingie that I drag in front of the TV, so that my face is that requisite two inches away from the screen. After the start, I try to inch back (just for the sake of decorum), and I sometimes even end up *gasp* back on the couch. But it never lasts for very long. The majority of my GP watching involves me on the pouffy with my face two inches from the screen, yelling at Lewey to hurry up already!!!!

This is normal, right?

Normal is a relative term, in this group it would raise and eyebrow but it would be understood. However in the general population, I'd be curious about your daily dose of Ritalin.

My nephew took photos of my ritual this weekend, giggling away. That was the first indicator that I was acting like a freakazoid.

I was hoping to find kindred spirits. You two are not helping. As we used to say in Africa "voetsak!". :nono:

Not very nice of you :yikes: We're trying real hard to get you back on track through tough love and you thank us like this? :yikes:
But what else is there to be expected from a freakazoid? :P:rofl:

I have a nice comfy Eames lounge, I put my feet on the ottoman and start to watch the pre race show, and somehow or other right as the red lights are flashing and they're about to turn green I find myself kneeling on the floor with my torso over the ottoman, or standing over the television looking for every detail I can soak in at the start, especially looking for bits of wings or puffs of smoke from a a handful of cars.

So kindred spirit, I can relate... but I certainly wouldn't go telling this lot all about my idiosyncrasies.

I have a replica of an F1 car that I sit in (complete with six point racing harness) with a 40in HDTV mounted over the nose that is exclusively used for motorsport viewing!

I hope you remember to "go" before the race - or is that all part of the immersive experience?

What! You don't use it for gaming?

I had to read your post several times before I understood what you meant by "go"; but now I understand; I just simply drive to the bathroom for a pit-stop! :hehe:

Don't do too much gaming, only GT5 and I don't have a wheel for the PS3 and don't have the spare cash to buy one right now!

You know that was a joke, right?... I don't have enough space for that; and also have two kids who would constantly be in it! I do have a 40in HDTV though!

But don't worry about being normal, being normal is subjective at best... I'm don't consider myself normal as prescribed by what society considers normal! Normal is boring, enjoy the abnormality!

What? You don't have an F1 replica? :D

I'm not normal either, I sometimes wish I was autistic, then I could have like a cool label. But no, I'm just a weirdo living amongst all these scary normal people!
