I'm very happy to see my two guys take 2nd and 3rd! Excellent race for McLaren; those last laps were nail-biting intense.

Man, I actually feel bad for Alonso. What a start! When you get a McLaren fan rooting for a Ferrari, you know there's something right going on. :hehe: Unfortunately he was let down by his car. Sad.

Heidfeld, nice race, boy.

The Ferrari just isn't fast enough at the moment. But, if Alonso isn't fast enough to win or get on the podium, at least Alonso put on a good show for the fans.

Congrats to AN and the Red Bull team. I'd call it a brute force win. Their car is just that much faster they can start from pretty much anywhere and still win. Their pit stops were excellent. The RB7 is more dominant than the Brawn IMO.

Absolutely brilliant start by Nando.

Incredible race from Lewis, to be is such a slower car and actually push so close to a win - great drive.

Very good strategy from Jenson.

what two great drives from lewis and jenson !, incredibly satisfied with that, :) well done boys roll on monaco, another great drive from sebb, webber must thinking omg how on earth am i going to match sebb who has the same car, but what a start from alonso, incredible, but seemed to drop off right off the cliff, and massa had a misreable afternoon, oh dear..... heidfeld what a drive too, from last to 8th, an schumi drove well too.

I know what you mean but being lapped is not a good show. I imagine that there were quite a few disappointed fans leaving Barcelona. On today's evidence Ferrari are heading backwards towards the midfield but I think this was just a blip. The Ferraris did not cope well with the primes, and they need to sort that out pronto, but they've been near the front at other venues.

Monaco will be a different story.

i dont think that ferrari are that bad, or webber or jenson, but vettel and hamilton from the second stint onwards were just absoulutely on fire...

And that with SV's KERS misfiring most of the time...
Once the KERS is sorted for good, there's no way the McLarens will be as close anymore.

You can't really compare Button and Hamilton on this race they both had different strategy and both drive amazingly. Button was 3 stop after a mess up at the start, otherwise he would of been 4 stop up with Hamilton fighting with Vettel for sure

You're probably right DD. Basically I could nearly win this years WDC in the RB7 :-)

Which makes Nando's start and first 2 stints all the more brilliant and Lewis's race just as astounding.

Au contraire: FA's start was massively helped by KERS, so nothing special compared to SV.
And LH's race in the last 10 laps was hugely helped by the DRS, which was not available to SV, so together with not having KERS on SV's car, it's actually pretty pathetic that LH could not pass SV and makes SV's performance even more remarkable.

I thought Nando's start and Lewis's race were pretty amazing. Especially given they were up against a car that was a second a lap faster - without KERS!

No Im with Spanky on this one. Much as Alonso isnt my favourite, his start was amazing. he went past 3 cars and two of them did have KERS . Vettel only passed one.

And at the end Lewis wasnt 'hugely' helped by DRS. DRS was of little help in this race as the commentators kept asying long before the final stint of the race. To call Leiws drive 'pretty pathetic' is...well words` fail me. especially when yo look at the downforcde the RB has in fast coners.

I could be wrong but I don't recall a successful DRS pass during the race, the zone was too far down the straight to get any use whatsoever from it. Both RB's had KERS at the start of the race otherwise they would have been miles behind. Hamilton was probably catching Vettel on the pit straight because of the extra 80hp from KERS which admittedly wasn't working towards the end, DRS did naff all. Vettel did some good overtaking (regardless of tyre difference) and he defended against Hamilton well, but he still had the best car on the grid...which makes Webbers performance all the more embarrassing.
