'With the information from this email, McLaren installed and tested its own version of the system. But unlike the Ferrari version, it is said to use a valve instead of a spring and is a direct development of a system the team was using in 2001 and 2002.'

Talk about USE of Ferrari info @ McLaren...

Great read thank's for the link. What I gather from the article is that once again Ferrari is setting the precedence for exploring new tech and their engineer's are once again at the forefront of technical exploration. Now that this info has been 'leaked' so to speak I will not be surprised if yet another "Hey their cheating" conflict arise's against them.

Only my $.02 worth but you gotta admit that's some pretty hardcore research/development going on at Ferrari ! McLaren produce's their share of cutting edge development's but not like Ferrari does.

Gregg

PS,
sidepodcast you keep a VERY LOW profile in the general forum's, it would be really nice to have your input more often  .

I think every team has some pretty hardcore R&D going on to be honest!

And those said hardcore R&D teams will probably be busy "perusing" copies if the magazine. ;)

Yah I hope Toyota F1 buy's and distribute's a copy to every member of the team including management all the way to the board member's. I would really love to see Toyota achieve the result's I think they are capable of. I'm a hardcore Toyota supporter, the brand, as I have driven nothing but Toy's for 24yr's as my daily driver. So there subpar performance is a bit disheartening for me.

Your right bud every team has hardcore R&D going on not just Ferrari  .

the emails never said such things, and im reading the WMSC transcripts as i write this! Coughlan said we are trying something similar not we are directly using this and creating our own version!
