Dunno, heard all that before the '09 final as well, and look what happened there.

I think they won 1-0...........

2-0, but they really did dominate, Man U had no answer for their passing ability. Now they don't have Ronaldo, but Barca have Villa on top. Saying all this Man U will probably go and win now :hehe: but it'd take a shocking performance from Barcelona or a huge dose of luck imo...

The only major difference between now and then is that then the game was played on Italian soil and any Italian at the game (Well most) would of supported Barca. Now it will be on English soil and although most people in England who don't go for Man Utd will go for Barca, because it is in England, it is going to be a lot easier for more Man Utd fans to be at the game thus making the support for Utd felt a lot stronger than it was 2 years ago in Rome.

Surely English fans would go for an English club regardless of rivalries in the Champions league? They are representing their league in affect.

It doesn't work like that. Although I go for the Italian clubs in Europe, even ones I hate in Italy for that very reason you mentioned...... and get much abuse from hardcore fans all the time. Think of it this way (and correct me if I am wrong). In Aussie Rules Football. If you barrick for Carlton and the Grand Final were between Collingwood and the West Coast Eagles, I am quite sure all the Carlton supporters will go for the Eagles even if it means the cup leaving Victoria. In fact Collingwood are like the Man Utd in the AFL. If you do not go for them, you support the other team. Well in most cases anyway. Assuming you go for the Adelaide Crows, if the final were between your rivals Port Adelaide Power and Collingwood, I bet you would support Collingwood as you wouldn't want a rival South Australian club to become Premiers. Anyway correct me if I am wrong as I am by no means an expert on this sport.

I'll support Liverpool obviously but can't bring myself to ever support Man Utd or Chelsea; any other team I'll support against a European club, but old rivalries die hard with United or Chelski!

In England most people either support/fan of man utd or hate them. Also when you have supported a different team for a long while you tend to have something against most of the other english clubs, well i do anyway :hehe:

Well thank you for your congrats :P, and man utd win the champs league final, well you may never want to enter this thread again :P:wink::hehe:

Now, now, my congrats was a 1 and a million event. Believe me if you ask anyone I know, they will tell you that I NEVER EVER congratulate the opposing side. You must of said something in one of your posts that put a smile on my face for me to have said that. Although with all the Glory, Glory Scum Utd crap you have been writing I cannot remember what it was now. Anyway if Man Utd win the CL, it will be as bad as McLaren winning the WDC or WCC. I will be devastated so whatever you might or will say will be hurting for sure, so Barca had better win or else I wont be me for weeks. Probably like when Alonso lost the WDC last season in the last race. I was not interested in F1 news for almost 2 months simply because looking at it made me think of what heppened. I'm over that now just so you know.

so thats where you went we did miss you :P:hehe: , well i am a young chamer really :P:hehe:
