Today I support the 2 most important things in sports: Vettel and Manchester! I hope for the best!

Vettel and Manchester. What's that Manchester City?

Btw how long have you been a Vettel/Red Bull fan? Since how long as they have been winning? Very much like with Man Utd? No worries. At least you don't go for scummy McLaren.

Read my first post, in introductiuons section! ;)

Fair enough you followed the little Wiesel (Vettel) fromm his BMW formula days. :)

As a Liverpool fan; I don't much care about which team has the most titles; it's about what's happening now; not about past glories, Liverpool are on their way up I believe; Liverpool have struggled with domestic glory because of managers in my opinion, Benitez was too obsessed with Europe at the detriment of the domestic league, Houlier before him won everything but the league title and as for Hodgson; :censored::censored::censored: . With new owners with big ambitions and Kenny Dalglish in control of the team, things can only get better!

when in the next century? and who would go to juve? but thats fair enough on the finances, because like you say real madrid have spent all that money, and what have they won this year, a pocksy spanish cup which they crushed anyway!! :hehe: and dont worry yourself, the prem will over tomorrow after your fantastic blues lose! :hehe:
oh and BTW if man utd win the cl final, oh dearr be ready for some stick !

If you know anything about Italian football (Which I do not expect you to), you would know that in 1980 AC Milan got put into Serie B as punishment for a match fixing scandal involving some betting or something along those lines. AC Milan and a few other teams got put to Serie B. However my focus here is only on AC Milan. In the mid 80s they went almost bankrupt but then Silvio Berlusconi bought them out. In 1988 they won the Scudetto (Italian Prem) and in both 1989 and 1990 the CL (I know it had a different name back then). They were the most powerful club in Europe also winning the CL in 1994 (Crushing Barca 4-0) and won many other cups such as European Super Cups and Intercontinental Cups. My point is that from disaster in 1980, within 8 years Milan was unstoppbale.

Juve suffered something similar in 2006. The Calcioploi for match fixing (which is a sham anyway) putting them in Serie B. Like Milan had to do after 1980, Juve had to re-build after their promoation back into Serie A one year later. Juve has the money needed so the financial part isnt an issue. Its the re-building which takes years and is still happening. With the resources available it is almost a certainity that within the same 8 or so years it took AC Milan to get back to the winning ways after 1980, that it should take Juve.

So its now 5 years now since Calcipoli. Within 3 years round about Juve will win. Already the Agnelli's have said "they will open the safe" for more money for buyinng. I follow the team closely. Juve only need about 4 more champion players to become a complete super force. And given the money is there, it is only a matter of time before Juve win again. This happened with AC Milan in the past and is happening with Juve now. Hiatory always repeats itself with very much everything.......

As for Calciopoli this was that Moggi of Juve influenced the refs that would referee the Juve games. There was no gurantee that that ref would win us the game. We got punished for this. Now proof has come to light that other clubs including Inter have done this as well. This is why Calciopli 2 has been opened. If the others are found guilty in Italy the law is the same for all. You either convict the others like Juve were, or you convict no one meaning that the 2 Scudetti Juve were stripped off will have to be re-instated. It would appear that whenever this is closed that the latter will most likely be the case. However this still doesn't change the fact that Juve were put in Serie B and have had to re-build. Calciopli 1 destroyed the tem Juve had at the time which were a super team. Remember this team had finished 2nd (to AC Milan on penalties at Old Trafford) in the 2003 UCL final and had reached a high stage in the tornament in 2004 and 2005.

i have to say thats some old knowledge you have there!, but im going to have to say to all you united haters GLORY GLORY MAN UTD GLORY GLORY MAN UTD GLORY GLORY MAN UTD AND THE REDS GO MARCHING ON ON ON!!!!!!!

Because you are a real footie fan I will congratulate your team's performance against Chelsea (As I did with McLaren although he may not even be a Utd fan). Take it as honour as I never ever congratulate a fan of an opposing team, especially an arch rival and especially Man Utd. To me many a time, football equals war. Anyway Chelsea played sh1t and you deserved it. But I sincerely hope you do not win the CL as that would hurt me deeply.

Well thank you for your congrats :P, and man utd win the champs league final, well you may never want to enter this thread again :P:wink::hehe:

I heard the spanish mutts are short of funds from bribing dodgy officials, maybe they might have to stay on their feet to win.....

Seriously though, Barcelona are not used to the English way of playing, if they dont score by half time, the pace Man U will play at will be too much.

2-0, but they really did dominate, Man U had no answer for their passing ability. Now they don't have Ronaldo, but Barca have Villa on top. Saying all this Man U will probably go and win now :hehe: but it'd take a shocking performance from Barcelona or a huge dose of luck imo...

its at wembley not rome too, i hate both teams, barca for being spanish, man utd for being such favoured little princesses, but unfortunately one of them has to win, and considering how much barcelona loved playing on the floor i want man utd to win, at least they stay up.

Yay good spacing and a well put post,i'm impressed
That Milan side you speak of of the late 80's is, apart from possibly the current Barca side the best team i have ever seen play football. The likes of Baresi,Maldini,Donadoni,Rijkaard,Gullit and Van Basten simply brilliant.

Did Juve lose most of the stars they had when relegated?.Thought I read Buffon stayed but didn't pay to much attention as to how many players left.

We lost about 7 star players. Lets see if I can remember off hand who they were. Zambrotta went to Barca, Cannavaro went to Real Madrid (A couple of years later he came back), Emerson went to either Barca or Real (Cant remember but it was one of them), Thuram did the same, Ibrahimovic and Viera both went to Inter. That's 6 players. I think there was one more but I cannot remember who it was. As for players that stayed, Buffon did stay as did Del Piero, Camoranesi and Trezeguet.

Yes the Barca of now and the MIlan of then were very similar. I am not a Milan fan but that side I loved. That Milan had the best defence ever which was the defence of the Nazionale Italiana and the best forwards from Holland. And Maldini only retired a few years back at age 40. Amazing! Usually only goalies play up until that age. :)

By the way I am not the type to ever congratulate an opposing team in footbal, especially an arch rival, but congrats to Man Utd. (I think you are a Man Utd fan, if not I take it back and am deeply sorry) Chelsea played sh1t and oh well that is that.

BTW I just remembered. Nedved stayed as well. (After Juve got demoted). How can I forget. He was my favorite player until he retired. I must really have my head in the clouds today....

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO I'm not a man utd fan,I support Norwich City,if you haven't heard of them I wouldn't be surprised.Apart from one run in the UEFA cup, probably before you would remember we haven't really done much. But this year we did get promotion to the premier league. How long we will stay there is another matter.

We were in the 3rd tier of english football 2 seasons ago and got back to back promotions, something i believe has only ever been done once before.

Being a Norwich fans those payers Juve lost when relegated looks more like a world 11 than a team lol.Although being in any tier of football there isn't many clubs that wouldn't want the ones that did stay. :hehe: I suppose theres still a chance for juve to get in the champions league yet this season.
So if the congats you gave to my side thinking I was a man u fan extend to my team Norwich City getting in the premier league ,good luck getting in champs league :hehe:

My sincere and up most apology for calling you a Man Utd fan. Seriously I did not mean to asume it as it can be offensive to a true footie fan such as yourself. I have heard of Norwich the place but not the club. However most places in England (Like in Italy) have a local footie side. Given you are going to be in the EPL next season, I hope your side does well. I like seeing when the smaller clubs do well against the might of the rich clubs.

Juve blew their chance last night. All I can say, they are stupid idiots. We were 2 nil up. In the space of 2 minutes Chievo score 2 back. And they almost made it 3-2 for them. Buffon the so called best keeper in the word made what I would like the world's biggesr bunder. He went right out of his box, almost as far as the mid way point to kick the ball out, only to be beaten by hos adversary who then passed to a virtually open goal who then kicked to a Juve defender who happened to just get in the way. Stupid morons if you ask me. Most frustrating and I was very angry. Not the trainers fault to all Del Neri not likers.

So where does it leave Juve. We can virtually forget the CL. EL is still a chance but we risk losing this as well. Today Palermo play AC Milan in the Italian Cup (Coppa Italia) semi final. If Palermo make the final Juve are in trouble. If that happens Juve will need to finish 6th to qualify. 6th and 5th place a 3 points in front of us (Roma and Lazio). There are 2 games left. Only advantage we have is the head to head advantage on both clubs if we tie on points. In Serie A we use head to head like in Europe rather than goal difference like in England. If Palermo do not make the Coppa Italia fina;, then 7th will surfice and that is where we are with 4 points clear of the same club Palermo. In the even this happens, if they win their last 2 games we must win at least 1. Tieing with them is no good as they have head to head advatage over us.

Anyway going back to you Norwich team. It pleases me you support your local club. I grew up in Udine but I wasn't born there. I migrated there with parents at age 1. This is why I do not suport Udinese. Although seeing them do well does please me and this season they are 4th and looking good for a CL spot. I was born in Ljubljana (Slovenija) and for the first time in many, many years I live there now. (It is only about an hour away from Udine anyway). I do like seeing the local team Olimpija Ljubljana do well. Like when you see your local Norwich City do well, it gives me a sense of pleasure and pride to see the same for my local team. But Ljubljana are not and cannot be in Serie A, so there it can only ever be strickly Juve. :)

Anyway sharing that with you (another footie fan) has been a pleasure. For a McLaren fan, I like you. (Remember I am a Ferrari tifosa :D )

Oh and by the way, what is your name?

Now, now, my congrats was a 1 and a million event. Believe me if you ask anyone I know, they will tell you that I NEVER EVER congratulate the opposing side. You must of said something in one of your posts that put a smile on my face for me to have said that. Although with all the Glory, Glory Scum Utd crap you have been writing I cannot remember what it was now. Anyway if Man Utd win the CL, it will be as bad as McLaren winning the WDC or WCC. I will be devastated so whatever you might or will say will be hurting for sure, so Barca had better win or else I wont be me for weeks. Probably like when Alonso lost the WDC last season in the last race. I was not interested in F1 news for almost 2 months simply because looking at it made me think of what heppened. I'm over that now just so you know.
