Putting his body to see has been explained and completely plausible reasoning I think. But hey, US and Europe needs to be on alert? I guess Australia can take it easy hey
But I think in time they will release the photos and video from the mission and the DNA tests to put at ease doubters like yoursellf. People always doubt deaths even with bodies so thats nothing new. I am content with what the Obama admin has put forward.

I am a Muslim and I haver never heard of an Islamic burial at sea – at sea – why would the Americans, who have been ‘searching’ for Bin Laden (a CIA asset) since 9/11, spending billions of dollars on 2 wars, killing hundreds of thousands of people and seeing many of their own kill in the process, kill him instead of capture him and then to ‘honour Islamic law’ bury him at sea, why?

Ask any Muslim unless that person dies at sea and knowing it would take time to reach land before sun set or sun rise, then maybe – as the body should be buried as soon as before the sun rises or sets depending when that person died during the 24 hours. So to ‘bury him at sea’ makes no sense to me.

It could be that Bin-Laden died some time ago and the Pakistani and American governments knew this but were looking for the right moment to announce this. Like 9/11 it’s self this seems highly suspect to me.

They never buried him at sea due to muslim beliefs. They treated his body with Muslim belief in mind before burial.

Haha comments from an unbiased Muslim who thinks 9/11 was suspect... They always act like they are hard done by, do they forget that this guy masterminded the deaths of thousands of people?
And complaining about him being buried at sea? as far as im concerned that is a token jesture, they should have quartered the bar steward and put him on display like the days of old.

Bin Laden's body was washed and wrapped in white cloth according to Islamic custom and dropped into the Arabian Sea to avoid creating a shrine to the terrorist. Video of the burial at sea may also be released by the White House.

There is so much detail to this operation that its getting harder and harder to be skeptical about his death.

I mean, they have pictures and Video of the whole operation from both Pakistan and Washington DC.

It's really really interesting all the details being released. They have been pretty open about it in reality. The only thing you will never know is the names of the Brave SEALS!

i agree, that is a very good reason to have buried him at sea. They kept to Muslim tradition as much as they could.

Even an anonymous grave on land would have cause a stir. I'm waiting to see someone claim to have recovered his body from the ocean.

They'll release the pictures, they'll release the DNA evidence. There is a completely different administration running this country now, don't forget that.

The reason the body was disposed of at sea is to prevent there from being a place that could be used as a pilgrimage point. Very simple, there is no location where a supporter could place a wreath.

I am not one that usually points out gramatical or punctuation errors in someone's post but do you happen to work for fox news? They made the same mistake.

Dont worry, I'm sure Muslims feel more hard done by Osama and Al Qaeda than anyone else seeing as he has given Arabs and Islam such a bad image.
