Made me proud to be British (A rarity these days, only other time is our greatness in F1!) today, been watching since 8am straight through,

Plenty of Aussies,Canadians,South Africans and Americans there too, like to think lot of the world can share in it.

Flypast just flew back right over my house on their way home, every flypast over London always has my house on the waypoint on its way back so i expected no less this year!

Jake Humphrey was on board the Lancaster bomber too!, my first ever taste of F1 technically 8-)

Is it over yet? can I come out from behind the sofa now?

Has the Queen shot any of her neighbours?

firstly, aren't all those people british?

secondly, the war in iraq is irrelevant. Most people agree now that it's a huge waste of money.

thirdly, i find the monetary cost of a royal wedding the least disturbing of the issues that i have with them.

I think that war and massively lavish weddings that costs the taxpayers millions are massively inappropriate at this time of financial strain; how much did it cost just to police this wedding?

Oh Man! Today was such a strange day.

I live with my sis, we made no great plans regarding the wedding, but we both had the day off. We didn't get up early or anything. At around nine we both woke up, settled in with cups of tea and started to casually watch the wedding.

First up was Wills and Harry riding in the car together. For some reason, I start tearing up. I think because thoughts of Diana watching her two boys came to mind. I was trying to hide the tears, snuck a glance at my sis, she's looking at me with tears streaming down her eyes, cue free for all with the both of us weeping away.

And that was it, we wept through the whole damn wedding. I loved every minute of it, I love how amazed they were that millions turned out waving their flags, I love that we Brits can still come out in the millions and wave the flag.

I've never felt so patriotic, it was just lovely, amazing, incredible. I don't want to hear anything negative about today, because it was just amazing and I'm proud to be a Brit today.

The End!

Started watching it from just before the beginning of the service at Westminster Abbey. Enjoyed it immensely. A thoroughly patriotic, British day, and it was incredible. Anything that brings people together in good spirit, song and joy is fine with me! :drink:

You have to balance the cost of the whole event out with the revenue generated by it, though. It was very popular and not just amongst the British people. I'm quite happy it went ahead, despite the cost, because it's one of the traditions we've kept that forms a big part of the country's identity. I hadn't planned on watching it, but it was quite nice to see.
