Personally, I don't think Senna was as good as Senna's current reputation.

Don't get me wrong, he was multiple WDC and a great driver who never got to complete his full potential. But, based on what I saw, I'd put him clearly behind Prost.

Year's leading points scorer:-
Prost 5
Senna 2

As of now, it is way too premature to put Vettel in Senna's class.

 I've always said this about AP and AS.
and  about SV (see my previous post on this re. staying open-minded).

Vettel as good as Senna?

Poppycock, claptrap and complete and utter garbage.:rolleyes:

Agreed. Vettel is muchbetter than Senna.

Wanna add blatherskite to it?

Not really - it's not a synonym of "preposterous rubbish".

You're certifiable. Unless you mean he's better at needlessly running his opponents off the road.

I've liked SV, from the start. He was a breath of fresh air. Let's see how he develops, matures and improves. We could be witnessing somebody and something special - let's be open-minded.

he's very good, and i dont see why "we" dont want to give these guys time; seems like most of the arguments come from such a hurry to call him great... compare him to Senna, to schumacher...... let the kid drive and be himself.

interestingly, same goes for Lewis!!

The irony is Juliet that Senna probably was better at running his opponents off road then Vettel :P

 I actually thought the same, but that would have ruined my pithy comment... :hehe:

 Really don't rate him at all. When he is under pressure he seems to panic. I know people say he is young but he's been in the sport as long as Lewis.

Senna would have been a perpetual backmarker if he'd had to live under today's Schumacher Rule: one blocking move per corner.

Bud I understand your passion but tone it down, allow FRAFPDD to have his opinion, stats don't tell the whole story, but unless you experienced Senna first hand, stats is all a person can go on!
I have seen Senna first hand multiple times which is why I dont approviate some 20 something acting like a know it all when he wouldn't even know how to drive himself!
