Haven't had a chance to read all the threads, am on my way home from Shanghai. Got to say what an amazing race. I've been to a few, but this has to rank as one of the best!

Superb, brilliant drive by Webber! Can't tell you how good his drive was to see.

Brilliant win by Lewis, hats off to him and McLaren.

Excellent to see Nico/Merc put in such a great performance and it was great to see him lead the race for as many laps as he did.

Can't leave without saying for all the Tifosi that we shouldn't be too upset with our race. Clearly not as fast on a single lap as the Macca's or Red Bulls, but, our race pace on the option tyres is equal to them. We just need to improve our pace on primes and for qualifying - the key to that, IMO, is through our aeros.

So happy to see Felipe end the race as the leading Ferrari, and that's taking nothing away from Nando. And to all those who say Ferrari favour Nando and he's the #1 before the season starts - gee, I wonder what went wrong????? How is it that Felipe is "allowed" to finish ahead of Nando??? How is it that there are no secret messages??? How is it that Nando isn't off sulking???? You're all so sure for a year now that Ferrari will always favour Nando - hmmm, wonder what went wrong these last 2 races. Never mind, I'm 100% certain that you will find some way of justifying your views, but, no matter what you post, the fact is that:-
Felipe finished ahead of Nando, by one position, for the last two races
Team orders are allowed
Ferrari said/did nothing to move Nando ahead of Felipe

You lucky dog, getting to see two GPs back to back. I'm sure there are quite a few people here that would have traded places with you. This weekend was indeed a phenomenal race to witness.

On your Fernando/Felipe controversy... that's because there wasn't a podium involved. Juuuust kidding. :hehe: I think Ferrari are worried about a lot more right now than their number 1 or number two driver status assignments. I think Ferrari took copious notes on what Webber did this weekend and may be getting some "ideas" of their own.

It's my 4000th post!

Congrats on the 4K, I'll just let the digs pass :-)

As I said, for the Tifosi, on options, we were same pace as Macca's and Red Bulls, and, despite being where we are, we still got valuable points. It's a long year, so lets see what our Turkey upgrades bring

I appreciate you letting the digs go, they were light hearted! The Ferrari's are not harsh on the tires, and are a worthy car come race day. But I'm being serious about their abandoning Q3 for the sake of an additional set of options. It has to be a strategy they'll be looking at. Poles mean a hell of a lot less this year than last.

In any case, everyone is relying on the KERS gremlins for Red Bull to continue, and we need someone other than Vettel to get some of those 25 point results, otherwise the WDC will be out of reach to all but couple of drivers by Germany.

I'd granted the digs were light hearted ....... mostly :-)

Ferrari definitely need something to drag us into contention. We are not so far behind that we can't get there, but we need to catch up soon. We managed it last year, so, hopefully we can repeat that for the Tifosi and the sake of making it another great f1 year.

In any case, these last 2 races were awesome and I reckon I was so dam lucky to see both of em

Yeah, was wondering about that (Ferrari no. 1 and 2, team orders) as well. I reckon it's not worth it to unsettle the team for a couple points that early in the season. But I'm pretty sure it'll happen again sooner or later, so no point really in singing the praise from the mountain top (yet)

Yeah they certainly need to back Massa this year,Alonso is too damn slow.

Fantastic race it was and Massa showed alittle of his old form. Lewis was simply fantastic and I jumped out of my seat when he passed Vettel, just a fantastic drive/race overall for Lewis  . I don't really care what Ferrari does simply because they do not have a driver I'm willing to support 110%.

YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST I AM PULLING FOR HAMILTON TO STEAL THE WDC AWAY FROM VETTEL.

Yeah, good to see ferrari not ging bait to the team order nonsensers... Right now it makes no sense, so they dont use em, if they need it, they'll do it.
Dont know where all the ferrari should back massa bs comes from, not only it comes from those who would criticise ferrari if they favored anyone else, and frankly, where do they see massa being faster than alonso?? The only reason masssa finished ahead in china is because ferrari screwed alonso's 1st stop and he got stuck behind schu with a problem drs (for the 2nd time in a row). One thing is to say massa is on good pace and another is to maake bs up.

Wouldnt mind vettel to get his 2nd wdc, as long as its not a wash out. and in fact, if it were tween him and lewis, then vettel all the way no question i dunno how come he still felt he was behind the maccas when he was actually leading thanks to button blunder. Should have done a normal 3 stop race. Same w ferrari, why do they keep insisting on those alternate strategies??

I think Q will become a bit more boring because they'll all do the 1-shot in Q3.
