I really have a question for the non biast members on this forum,

So tex, DD,Denthul

What did Lewis do wrong?

Apparently, broke this rule. I didn't see the action, but people say he moved left, then moved left again.

20.2 Manoeuvres liable to hinder other drivers, such as more than one change of direction to defend a position,
deliberate crowding of a car beyond the edge of the track or any other abnormal change of direction, are
not permitted.

Now, I would have assumed that by 'change of direction', they were meaning left-right or right-left, not left-left/right-right. Judging by the Malaysian stewards' actions, this does not appear to be the case. What I don't get is that what has been described (all of the clips appear to have been taken down, sadly) happens all the time, far more than things that we normally see punished by the above rule, so this sets a very, very dangerous precedent.

Also, I'm glad that you see me as being unbiased. :P

Alonso didn't 'cause' anything, he was trying to get past a slower car. His penalty was as ridiculous as Lewis'!

Of course, his over zealousness to try and make people think he's as good a racer as Lewis caused the massacre of his front wing...but that's another story. :hehe:

It was a racing incident. I do not know why the penalties. Although Hamilton tried to weave a little extra to block Alonso. Alonso should of finished 3rd. Anyway at least his penalty didn't demote him lower than his eventual 6th spot. Unlike Hamilton who got demoted from 7th to 8th.

Do you think Hamilton's penalty was justified?

Pretty pathetic really. Alonso had caused this, but com'on I knew from the second Alonso was up-close that it would end up in tears?

I could just sense it lol

Hamilton's penalty was for an incident on the previous lap, not the one where Alonso hit him.

I would not have the ridiculous rule he was penalised under.

I would not have penalised either Alonso or Hamilton.

I would have fired any steward who even suggested we should have looked at the incidents.

Well apparently Fernando raised the question to the stewards, perhaps they penalized him as well for being a dobber! :hehe:

They didn't last time,or the time before or the time before :hehe::wink:
Perhaps they are just getting tired of him entering the office each week :hehe:

Didn't notice this the first time I watched a replay of the race, but, watch this video from about the 58 second mark. What the hell is Nando doing with his hands when he starts????

FOMS blocked it already.

If you get a chance to watch the start again and they show it from Alonso's on-board camera, you will see he takes off and even until he's on Webber, his hands aren't on the steering wheel! You see him grad the wheel quite a few moments after he takes off.

No. He didn't weave enough. And ALonso's was not justified either as he was trying to pass a slower car who was defending his position. Pure racing incident as I said at the very start.

The weaving rule is so stupid.

I was watching some V8 Supercar racing last night. Oh, how awesome. Real racing.

I sometimes feel F1 is becoming a high-speed parade. :irked:

What race did you watch? V8SC is always good for hard racing.
