Hi all,
I have a very very dear friend whom I love a great deal and her name is Lindsay. She is 31yr's old and I have known her since she moved to Houston from California 5yr's ago, here is her story.
Three week's ago she was at work and they have karaoke on staurday night's. Well she sang a song and then sat down after her song and to everyone's surprise and horror she just fell out of her chair non-responsive and not breathing
! 911 was called and CPR was given and she started breathing on her own.
Yesterday her huge goup of friend's and her mom and dad who had flown in had a fundraiser for her as she has no insurance. It was a spectacular success with well over $10K raised and brought alot of us back together who have not seen each other for 4-5yr's. Lindsay is conscious but really not there and we do not know if she had a brain aneurysm or a stroke. I think her parent's know but I have yet to talk with them and see what diagnosis has been given concerning her condition.
I just found this out friday after calling her and having her mom answer her phone totally unaware of the seriousness of her situation. I will be going to see Lindsay tomorrow as I will everyday from now on. I dont just love Lindsay I'm IN LOVE with her and thinking about the last thing's we said to each other before this happened keep's me strong.

I just do not know the extent of it yet. I am basically trying to prepare myself mentally for when I see her as I thought I could handle it as I went through this same thing last year with my stepfather. My stepdad had been dealing with the effect's of a stroke and diabetes for 5yr's and we had time to mentally prepare ourselve's for his passing.
