The fact that Webber didn't have any reliability problems last season makes me think that there may be something in the driving styles that causes Vettel to work the car harder...

This. I dont understand depite the vast technical knowledge us F1 fans have, sometimes we dont realise that its not just, "Webber only nearly beat Vettel cause Vettel had more breakdowns".

It doesnt really take too much thinking to work out why, i dont remember Jenson breaking down like Lewis did, and i certainly dont remember Prost breaking down anywhere near where Senna did. That the sole reason Prost in particular was anywhere close to Senna for WDC's his style had a critical advantage of finishing races almost all the time, Senna went for broke and crashed/ ruined his car a lot.


Also ive seen it twice now, and a lot off topic- F1er and Nish IIRC have both said recently english isnt their first language, considering how fluent you both are in it, what are your first languages? And where are you from?

Okay. Well, i did try and get back on topic after the OP asked, but that same person didn't reciprocate my efforts afterward!

The car, the driver and the team all need to be capable of winning. Any driver with a WDC has proved they can be part of that winning combination.

Performance in other series has never been a guarantee when you move into F1, plenty of guys have dominated in lower series and gone nowhere in an F1 car. Hell everyone's friend Kobayashi was pretty average in GP2 and look at everyone praising him now.

How is winning WDC and helping the team to a WCC making the car look bad exactly?

When i say Brazil in regards to button i mean Vettle never had to drive though thefield to keep his title, silverstone 2010 you may say but he had alot of help from the safty car.

Superstars shine at an early age,and that includes most sports.I can name 8-9 drivers better than Kobayashi,so he's still pretty average.The way he had to win it made it clear,he was a botched strategy away from having no title.

And start naming those 8-9 current f1 drivers better than Kobayashi.
