By that logic what have the other new teams 'created'? Equally f-all, i think you'll find.

yeah, and everyone beat Schumacher - a 7 time champion. This must be the greatest class of F1 drivers ever.

/sarcasm :)

I think you're putting a little too much stock in one race.

I agree last year, the commentators were making it seem like Alonzo stormed to victory in Bahrain when really he got first because vettels car broke.

HRT belong in the late 80's/early 90's pre-qualifying battles with Eurobrun, Osella, Andrea Moda, Onyx/Montiverdi, Coloni, Zakspeed, AGS and Life.

The 'Jim Clark Championship' perhaps but with different references?

HRT do not seem to have much of a media presence either in comparison to the other new teams like Lotus and Virgin who can both be seen giving interviews and behind the scenes videos of their factory and staff.

Its evident even in their facebook pages.
Lotus: 89,000 fans
HRT: 11,000 fans

To be fair you have to respect HRT as they are living the dream, it is not that any of us are currently on the F1 pit wall. so who are the real losers?

I am pretty sure we could get great seats to every Grand Prix and invites to the sexy parties for $40M.

HRT and Virgin should be put on notice that they need to get their crap together this year. I was a supporter of new teams, but they need to be the sort of teams that have a passion for racing. I get that feeling from Lotus - they are constantly striving to be up in the field with the big boys and doing what it takes to get there, I don't get it from HRT or Virgin. The plucky little engine that tried is fine in lower classes but not in the pinnacle of motorsport. How could they have done NO testing before the first race.

The caps not being in place is hurting them against the other teams... But how did the other teams having more money affect them being able to get a car on track before Q1 in Australia. The cap discussion is a cop out.

I beg to differ with you, money is the ultimate enabler in the sport, and all of the new teams have had to build not only a car, but a team, meaning facilities, logistics, staff... the list goes on. A disadvantage only burdened by the new teams.

I think that HRT, at least Liuzzi, will qualify for the next race. It's probably going to rain, so that could be useful for them.

I think HRT might be a bit busy trying to go racing. They're small and strapped for cash. They probably prefer to focus on the task at hand.

That and...Well...I can't exactly imagine the world's media are busting their door down for an interview. Back in the day, Karun used to do it whilst he was waiting for them to build him a damn car.
