but there's no way he went the whole race with that part flopping around... i think i'm missing something.

I wonder if that section was dented, and that pic was taken while they were cutting the damaged section out...

I'm not sure when it was taken but you can see that it is somewhere in the pitlane, possibly at parc ferme? I doubt that was after cutting it out.

here are two more pictures, they show different levels of damage though. Maybe some work was done during the pit stops.

To me it looks like they cut off part of the body that was loose... But then they left part of it hanging off the side. Weird.
