Just as it says...

Well since Seb, Newey and 50 team members just signed new contacts they will last a few more years I guess :hehe: . I think it really comes down MD's continueing support for F1 in general so who knows you just may be right

A buy out is possible. But to say that they are a real team is an insult to the teams that have worked for years on end to produce a winning car. teams with honour and passion that stand for somthing, Ferrari & McLaren are a team. Williams are a team. RBR are a business that can win...

I understand your point of view but teams come and go or they change names. I personaly think results are just as important (well almost) than heritage so on that I don't think RB can be judged undeserving as they have paid/payed :hehe: there dues and are currently enjoying their commitment.

Question: If it was any other team other than RB, say Brawn GP, would you have a different opinion? It seem's you just do not like RB and are using the 'heritage' thing as a scapegoat  . Now this is just my opinion so don't hang me ok :) ?

I just don't get the point of view at all! Heritage has to begin somewhere... Sure Red Bull might not have it now, but if they stick around then at what point do they begin to have 'heritage'...? Ten years? Twenty? A hundred? It's a form of elitest snobbery in my opinion to look down on teams because they don't have heritage. Red Bull had the resources, decided they wanted to enter F1 and be successful. Great! In my eyes F1 has benefitted massively from them being here! :)

I love Mercedes and Ferrari being involved in F1 and as Marque names I wouldn't want them to ever leave, but if you ask me F1 would never have been the same without for example Tyrrel, Williams, Leyton House!! (I loved them!!), Stewart, or even Brawn or Red Bull... All have given or continue to give me great memories for the future...

Brawn was not a real team. Amazing that they won but really it was Honda who won? No..? RBR are only winning due to Money & newey. Given he left to go to McLaren or Ferrari. RBR would be dead...Given Newey has worked for other successful team, but without him they are still able to win!

Heritage is what makes F1 so special, the names even non F1 fans know of! But if you said to soemone Vettel, they would go :irked:
Or did you know Red Bull had a team they would go :irked: I thought they just made drinks. Mention Ferrari or McLaren they know! You hear jokes about being fast as, Michael Schumacher or Jenson Button. Recently said on Eastender was jenson Button not bloody Vettel!!!

No it was Brawn that won not Honda just because that was the heritage of the chassis and money, a great designer and money is what it takes too win in any series as money buys you the best or a team finds a hidden talent before the other wolves get to them. It's all very fickle though as I do not not nor have I ever berated or disliked a team because they melded into a well oiled machine. I don't dislike ANY TEAM not even Virgin or HRT simply because they are making an effort ie minnows in a pond of sharks.

Just enjoy the sport for what it is and if you are a true true true fan of racing things like that do not matter, once again this is only my opinion/outlook. :)

Spot on. At the end of the day, everybody on each team has put in hours and hours and hours every day either working or travelling all over the globe to race each other, so zurich is right, it is an an elitist snobbery to say a team isn't a real team just because they don't have heritage. :censored: that

There is a lot more to RBR than just newey. Sure he is a fantastic designer, but if that is all RBR had going for them, they would not be winning. It takes great drivers, great equipment, great pit teams, great engineers, great fans. I don't know what the big deal is and why RBR can't be treated as any other team. Mclaren and Williams didn't start off making cars for people. They started with the drive to make racing cars.

They didn't have show room models made every year. They both now have heritage. I think it's just the standard sports hatred coming from people when their own team is getting spanked.

Lets say tomorrow I decide to start karting, and work my way into racing. I'm 29, I'm really thin by nature, and with a work out routine, I would fit the bill for a formula 1 driver's fitness regiment. Lets say then I get good at karting, I start spanking it, I start ripping through the lower formulas, and I get to F1 and maybe I win a championship. Am I to give that championship back because I did eat, drink, breath, sleep, and s*** formula 1 from birth?

Look back at the early years of racing, you had all ages, all walks of life, all types of jalopies showing up to go for a spin.
