However, I'd be happy if Sri Lanka were to win, I guess, because it would make a great farewell for Murali.

Not as far as I'm aware. I think Tendulkar could go on for quite some time, although he won't feature in the next world cup I'm sure.

Rumours I think, he'll probably retire from one day internationals though.

Think this will depend on how Tendaulker copes with the pressure, if he rises to it and hits a good total, India should win.

There is a travel advisory on the USA state department web site for the ICC Cricket World Cup. I'm in the process of renewing my passport and got a chuckle out of it when I went tot he site.

Yeah, for cricket the Indian team has always been a bigger influence than England - the British Pakistani kids don't let you get away with saying you support England if Pakistan beat India in cricket , and family certainly won't support England over India.

Although for football its normally England, guess its just which sport is bigger for which country, cricket is played in England but for most kids like me (South Asian background) its the motherland where your cricket influence is from.
