So it can be kept contained and kept track of, making a simple table on how well in pure results terms team mates are doing against each other, there is a point given for finishing ahead in the race, and a bracketed point for outqualifying:

Alonso 2(4), Massa 2(0)

Hamilton 3(3) Jenson 1(1)

Petrov 2(3) Heidfeld 2(1)

Rosberg 2(4) Schumacher 1(0)

Kobayashi 3(2) Perez 0(2)

Vettel 4(4) Webber 0(0)

Buemi 4(3) Alguersari 0(1)

Di Resta 2(3) Sutil 2(1)

Maldonado 1(1) Barichello 1(3)

Kovaleinen 2(4) Trulli 2(0)

Liuzzi 1(4)Karthikeyan 1(0)

Glock 1(2) Ambrosio 3(2)

I think this is a great idea in principle, but of course only if it's treated as a bit of fun (to an extent). With the reintroduction of legal team orders the results could be somewhat skewed.

Example number one would be where Force India (and possibly rightly under the circumstances), have already admitted that they asked Di Resta and Sutil to change places as Sutil appeared to be quicker during the race. As such the result now reads Di Resta 0(1) - Sutil (0) 1, whereas without artifical interference it could easily (though of course not a certainty) have ended Di Resta 1 (1) - Sutil 0 (0).... though possibly in lower positions.... does that make sense? It's something a system like this doesn't take into account (as with all quantitative statistics of course).

Either way, will be interesting to see as the season progresses! :)

yeah, not bad.... i'm not personally too caught up on the teammate wars........ but its a nice table to look at

although the points during and at the end of the season have the same meaning in fact

FRAF, you're officially in charge of updating your table after each race weekend - that'll bring the thread up front each time

Massa's a good qualifier and seems to be a good starter, he's doing better than last year.

Alonso's race pace and strategy management is fantastic though. Plus Massa's too inconsistent.

Possibly Perez is so gentle on his tyres he struggles to heat them for quali?

Pual Di Resita could challenge and unsettle Sutil.

Ouch, Sutil won't like being outqualified 2/2 by Mr Newbie next door...

Glock losing out to his rookie, huh. Also, with Mercedes, Sauber, Williams and HRT, any reason why their race comparisons aren't adding to 4?

If they both didnt finish a race, Sauber were disqualified in Australia.

Ok, thanks for the thread, its nice to see them laid out like that. Still waiting on Webber to turn it around.

I'm going to be honest... there is something in my brain which prevents me from understand in this table.

I mean i get it, but i actually have to think about it...

How about this:
Big RED line = better than teammate in Race
Big BLUE line = better than teammate in Q

For lazy people :swivel:
