Hamilton is F1's unchallenged gaffe-meister.

How do you figure? I've seen plenty of other drivers make monumental gaffes.

Sorry, but what Seb did at STR proves he's a good driver. I love Hamilton's comments though and I believe that he in Alonso are 2 of the best, if not the best.

However, Hamilton has lately gone down to third on my list. He does not appear to be overwhelmingly driving the balls off his car and outclassing his team mate lately like the other two. (Although yeah he got a hell of a lot more points last year...)

I think this just proves that many people still under-estimate Seb, including his own peers. The Vettel/Hamilton/Alonso Rivalry will dominate the sport for the next decade. However, Vettel will keep winning if he keeps getting a good car. And he will keep getting pole position after pole position. That is part of racing - don't you know? Vettel has done this throughout his career and will continue to do so. :wavey:

But, Hamilton will always be ballsy, and better chance of winning over Vettel in the rain. Alonso can use tactics, he can have the whole team support him. Him and Hamilton will always be level with each other.

BUT- whether Hamilton and Alonso will be battling for a podium, or whether they'll be battling for the win depends on Vettel. Because in my opinion, Vettel would probably be able to stick that current McLaren or Ferrari on pole. (He'd qualify 4th in STR, and consistently 1st in Red Bull - you do the maths  .)

So with Vettel continually on pole - the rivalry between the other two either won't matter, or it will have to be a three-way rivalry.

BTW - Vettel got 8 pole positions last year. This year I expect him to beat Mansell's record of 14. :cloud9:

EDIT - When I was writing that message I thought that I was being modest by not saying "Vettel, Vettel, Vettel, Vettel." I just posted this and re-read and holy crap! :yikes:

Your edit note spares you greatly, but the bolds, What the hell man, what the hell.........

I dont think i need to expand on them at all?

Vettel would put the current Ferrari and Mclaren on pole?

Hamilton is now third cause he doesnt outclass him teammate like the other two. note hamilton is the only one that isnt favoured, note hamiltons teammate is the only one thats a world champion

This year you expect Vettel to beat Mansells 14 pole records. Was the car not dominant enough last year, to which he lost out to webber in poles about 5 times.

Please God for the sake of the world entire bring this recent Vettel fans down to earth with a thud.

Oh, he will take that record!

LOL i do like your confidence though

I can only hope so! (not really, not really at all.)

yeah, good so. still, Vettel has some little bits to prove. He's already doing it... but it could have been a lot of things making the win in rainy monza easier. Although for his sake... that's a damn scary track to go around in wet...

However, Hamilton has lately gone down to third on my list. He does not appear to be overwhelmingly driving the balls off his car and outclassing his team mate lately like the other two. (Although yeah he got a hell of a lot more points last year...)

hmmmm i dont know. Jenson is very good, definitely better than at least Massa; and to me better than webber. But teammate aside, Lewis' relative position will move depending on the car's relative rank, and for each great race he has, if he makes a silly mistake or some mystery car part failure, it does eclipse a little.

I think this just proves that many people still under-estimate Seb, including his own peers.

yup... but not for long. Unless either alonso or Lewis bring the fight to him and doesnt deliver. Poles.... he could get em all. He's had some IMPRESSIVE poles to his name.

totally unrelated. get the mclaren or ferrari on pole vs that red bull? i doubt it. Also, even if he did put in on pole he'd still have to win the race, and beating lewis or alonso in a car as dominant as the rb is not to take for granted even starting from pole.

So you're saying Vettel gets a second and a half out of his bottom? Didnt Bourdais qualify the same STR 4th? And didnt Webber get 5 poles last year?

I love me some mind games

you know what. I think Hamilton is just saying what he means and doesn't really consider this to be mind-gaming but it sure can have this effect

Think you all are looking to hard into this.

I'm fairly sure this is a figurative comparison.

Why so sinister, its an interesting article? Theres nothing more to it then something to talk about until the next race.

I waited on purpose to reply to this so you could see the OMG COMPARISON TO SENNA PROST posts that I knew would follow....

And look..
