I agree. Jenson has a smoother driving style which isn't as quick as Lewis, though the tyres would have an easier time though this is not enough to make a difference in race result. The tyres might look slightly prettier at parc ferme, but the way everyone keeps bleating about Jenson being able to make 1 less pitstop (!!!!) is totally comic.

Although to be honest we don't know this season, the Pirelli tyres are an unknown quantity in race conditions, we'll have to wait and see what happens on Sunday to discover whether Jenson's driving style can make enough difference to make one less stop, it's unlikely but with these tyres designed to degrade quicker, a smoother driver is likely to get more life from them!

It amazes me that people can see things play out as expected, then still describe the expectation as a myth.

At any rate, I despise this adversarial view of intra-team comparisons. This is the kind of BS that made last year's Championships such a struggle for the otherwise dominant Red Bull and landed Ferrari in such trouble.

Comparisons will always been made between team mates as they are the truest benchmark you can get; same car, same support (in theory). Any F1 driver will tell you that their first goal is to beat their own team mate; if a driver doesn't want to be top dog in their team then it's time to hang up their helmet for good! Personally I like the intra-team rivalry; it makes for a much more exciting season, setting the stage for a big showdown. The Ferrari situation was massively different; rivalry and being told to be a good little employee and let your team mate pass is very different!

Yes, I think he is, but I still think they compliment each other and work well together and McLaren end up benefitting from it. As yet its hard to tell which skill set will most benefit from the new regs. I suspect it will be Lewis.

I'm just sick of people telling he can't handle the tires while Jenson is a master at it. Jenson is very good at handling tires but Lewis can do it as well,
he just decides not to and drives aggressively every lap so his lap times are faster as well. Doesn't matter really in the end

Unused rubber doesnt do you any good after the race
Lewis gets 99% out of the tires while maintaining fast laps.I call that perfection.

Button was a joke all weekend and no matter how many excuses the beeb make for him he is just not in the same league as Vettel or Lewis or Alonso.

Moaning because Massa was to good at defending his position for Button to get passed so Button decides to take the easy way even though Massa had the racing line, lol what did he expect to happen?

Jenson Button to team radio about Massa " how is he getting away from me on the straight like he is" lol go figure.

Sorry Jenson but you have the same car and all components open for you to use like Lewis has.

He couldn't even hold Vettel off but ill admit that Vettel broke the rules to get round Button by having four wheels of the track.
