We can see tomorrow, but given this perticular season? JB would be more dominant, it seems the tyres can only last very little aggression, given we wanted more aggressive drivers? People like hamilton will suffer. JB can preserve his tyres and this season will give him a major advantage over the other drivers, I think in OZ (tomorrow) he will be p2,p1! This will be a good year for the BRIT!

Paul? Please back me up.

Hmm... i'm just going to say now that if this thread shows signs of descending into anarchy like the old one, it'll be done pretty damn quickly.

In the process of quickening the locking of a thread that is pointless, as one already exists.

Lewis is s*it he cant look after his tyres and hes a reckless moron, Jenson will be mature smooth and calculating and being easier on his tyres will smash the bumfluff endorsing- fool he has to call a teammate

Jenson is crud, always an excuse when he finishes behind Lewis, who wants to see mr i collect points every race trundle round thinking up reasons why he cant beat Lewis, and what is with that facial hair, what a douche.

i think ive covered the arguments of both sides here, lets kill this thing right now.

We could always debate over who Whitmarsh favours, but then that would be a foregone conclusion.

The Best McLaren driver is the one who gets the most points.

No one Knows how the tires are going to be with each driver, perhaps lewis will take more out of them but perhaps he'll be far enough ahead to make it work.

Perhaps Jenson will be unstoppable this year because he can do one less pit stop than everyone else.

Its going to depend on the race track and every other driver on the circuit.

I knew this thread was inevitable; let's keep it civil! Although I can not see what is to be discussed; we flogged this dead horse enough last season!

Anyone that doesn't have anything useful or constructive to say; please stay out of this thread, remember the new rules; and that we have less tolerance this season!!!

It really is a dead horse, everyone said Jenson will beat Lewis in 2010 because of his Godly tyre conservation, and its the same ball rolling this year. Unfortunately Jenson has been very successful in selling his tyre conservation 'myth' to many people. I look forward to this myth being put to bed again this year.

To be honest (as a JB fan) I think that Lewis has that extra 1% in terms of outright pace, but I think JB has experience and is a wise racing driver who looks at the whole picture. A great pairing in a team and I look forward to an ace season!

I don't think that Jenson has sold the myth of being better at tyre conservation; it's the media that has propagated that myth. I think Jenson maybe a little better at conserving his tyres but not enough to counteract Lewis' outright speed but some times Lewis can get a little headstrong to the detriment of his own championship hopes, Jenson tends not to do that and will bring the car home in a good position if the car suits his style; the McLaren isn't the easiest car to drive on the grid which is to the advantage of Lewis as he can wring the cars neck better than JB!

I agree. Jenson has a smoother driving style which isn't as quick as Lewis, though the tyres would have an easier time though this is not enough to make a difference in race result. The tyres might look slightly prettier at parc ferme, but the way everyone keeps bleating about Jenson being able to make 1 less pitstop (!!!!) is totally comic.
