Well done McLaren. Wasn't really looking forward to today but pleasantly surprised to see some real performance from Jens and Lewis. Need to push on with development though and reign in those Bulls. Got a question for techiis out there. Can McLaren use their fantastic linked suspension as their new road MP4-12C in F1 or is it considered active???

Where the hell do you even start!?

-Vettel DOMINATES that session, without KERS!
-Mclaren nowhere near bad, very good.
-Ferrari nowhere near level most expected
-Petrov qualifying 6th, Heidfeld 18th! (cue "Kubica should of been WDC '11) talk
- Kobayashi getting as high as 6th, finishing 9th
- Lewis splitting a red bull without KERS also.
- Massa not looking as good as i personally expected.
- Pirelli tyres holding up pretty well
- The first sign of the worries of the DRS, Sutil spinning off
-Schumacher failing to make Q3, dissapointing to say the least.

Set up for a mouth-watering race tomorrow, today cant go quick enough, ive only slept 20 minutes.........

Normally id say if Hamilton doesnt jump Vettel at the start thats it, but in all honesty i wouldnt bet a penny on anything tomorrow.

You can bet your savings Lewis will be gunning for 1st place down the 1st corner.

Though I believe he should hang back and play the waiting game, Vettel isn't much of a smart cookie though he is incredibly quick. The tyres are something to worry about tomorrow, no one knows where they are in relation to others. Who knows, Ferrari might just climb through the field!

Time to get smart Lewis! No more locking tyres and abusing them like in qual! Let's do this.

Nah i dont think so, Vettels sole ace up sleeve is qualifying on pole, and taking a sunday drive for the win. I think actually Malaysia 2010 is the only race hes ever won not from pole whilst overtaking the leader who didnt have a problem, and even then it was the first car starting from second!

Hamilton is not only good at overtaking, the best at it really, but his race starts are always gaining him places, i dont need to tell you but if you look at race reports of all seasons from 2007, he makes up at least one place in about 70 percent if not more of his starts. Hes got to get the power down quicker, hope his Kers is better, and try and get infront into the first corner.

If i wanted to see Hamilton settle for second id support Button (strange coming from someone a massive fan of Prosts style over Sennas), he should show what a world champion is when you have to fight for it for our young german on pole, and make him work for his biscuit.

Yeh he should make a go for it on the first lap but not the extent that he ruins his tires.

That's kind of what I'm afraid of. Hamilton sometimes pushes too hard and has it bite his arse clean off (as opposed to simply biting him in the arse). He'll get overambitious on the first lap, determined to have first by the end of lap one, but instead will earn a DNF when he collides with the guy he's overtaking (in this case Vettel) or runs off the track into something efficient at obliterating F1 cars.

That's not wishful thinking. As a Hamilton fan, I want much the opposite of this. I've just had to accept that he has his share of rotten luck and also a tendency to make moves that end up hurting him. I suppose such a negative prediction is my way of preparing for the potential disappointment. Expect the worst but hope for the best, I guess.

EDIT:
Didn't know it censors the more colorful term for "butt".

Autosport article (http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/90224)

Neither Red Bull driver used his KERS during qualifying and while Vettel indicated that his system had not been fully charged, Webber declined to elaborate on it.

Maybe RBR have a problem with their KERS systems. If so then they might suffer on the run to the first corner
