I'm not going to do that.

Of course you're not, because you already know the result.

That's right, because I knew some people could build an I4 in their garden before you even said anything.

Some people can do anything.
I dared you to do it. You implied anyone could do it. They can't.

Don't put words in my mouth - I said "some" people could do it. A 12K reving turbo engine is not a leading edge challenge to build.

Your implication was that it was triflingly easy. It's not something anyone could do without assistance, and certainly not to the standard required here. I'm attacking your point for being misleading, disingenuous, not factually inaccurate.

-Shrug- I don't disagree with that idea.

Nice we can agree on something :-)

Quite.

But there's still no clear advantage to sticking with the current highly-restricted V8s over Energy-Recovery-Optimised Turbo I4s

I'm yet to be convinced of the need for change. So far you said we can save a few litres of fuel by wasting a gazzilion in other resources and cash. Having done that, in 2 years time, we will end up with a technically unspectacular engine that is (without the KERS) less powerful than a GP2 car of today.

But we have KERS, amongst other things, so that's not really a problem. Besides which, GP2 will get a new engine spec eventually too.

:nono: You're not allowed to turn my "joke" into a valid argument! :hehe:

But...but...but...I did it so well :(

Seems things are getting nastier between Bernie and JT, and the new donk is the touchy point.

In this article Bernie calls Jean a "poor man's Max Mosley" lol, what does that mean, he uses sidewalk hookers instead of going to an up-market bordello?

Below is the complete article:-

Ecclestone: “Jean Todt is a poor man’s Max Mosley”
24 March 2011 by Keith Collantine

Bernie Ecclestone has criticised FIA president Jean Todt, calling him “a poor man’s Max Mosley” in an interview with the Daily Express.

Ecclestone said Todt, who became FIA president in October 2009, has “not so much had a positive effect on Formula 1.

“He has been travelling around the world doing what Max didn’t do too much – kissing the babies and shaking the hands. It is probably good for the FIA but we don’t need it in Formula 1.”

Ecclestone said the new 1.6-litre turbo engines planned for 2013 “doesn’t sound anything like Formula 1″.

He also criticised Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems, which have been reintroduced this year, saying: “It has just cost an awful lot of money and I don’t know what it has proven.

“I don’t think anyone knows or cares what it is or what it does. I get upset with these things.”

The Evil Elf has a point. Garden Gnome is the one who approved for the stupid rear wing overtaking thing, as well as KERS coming back right?

Don't blame us Bernie, we voted for the other guy.
