I read two different sides to his comments.
1. He loves, respects and knows McLaren are winners.
2. If a lapse in performance is consistant he could possibly look for a new team/challenge.

I don't think anyone could think differently from that and the team should accept both those sides too.

McLaren has given Lewis a winner 4 out of 4 seasons, and he's very lucky. His old buddies from GP2 Kubi,Nico,Buemi etc have a total of ONE victory to their name and that belongs to Kubi.
He would be nuts to leave.

Patience son patience :)

No Lewis Has made the mclaren win 4 seasons out of 4 seasons. .

Alonso & Button won as well,so the car was fully capable of victories.
I'm not even going over Heiki coz there is a reason he drives for Lotus.

He lit up qualifiers.

So did his current teammate :hehe:

Exactly, which is why I don't understand the hate! :P
.

No hate 8-) the standings from 08 prove my original point why I brought him up in the conversation in the first place.

I personally think that lewis will stay at mclaren for the rest of his career, i cant see him going to red bull, they dont have the heritage or history of mclaren, and i dont think he'll go to ferrari either, lewis is made for mclaren

i do, ive thought it more and more and more every season gone by, that one day he will, i mean cmon, look at 2007 and 2008, he was so quick to show his love for Mclaren, everything he did and said was like this is a dream, now hes much more laid back about it after time to think and time in bad cars. Ron Dennis isnt there anymore and he doesnt have the best relationship with Whitmarsh, not a bad one, just you know....... Infact he seems like so much more of a media whore recently that i think the coverage he'll receive for moving to Ferrari would outdo any other team switch to date, even Alonsos confirmation to Ferrari.

Infact i think its become such a possibility that Mclaren performing ok, or well wont have much of an effect, im sure he'll race for Ferrari one day.

I don't agree, but only time will tell. I can't see Lewis going over to McLarens fiercest rival and racing for them, when McLaren is the one which held his hand from childhood till delivering him the most prestigious trophy a racing driver can achieve.

If he ends up doing that, well it will be the biggest shock for me ever since McLaren ditched DC for JPM. :hehe:

Hamilton, himself, has dismissed any suggestions he will leave McLaren any time soon.
"McLaren are an incredible team," Hamilton told The Daily Mail. "They are fighters and I'm a fighter. My heart is with them."

But that was a great move by McLaren! They got a sensational driver.

I think if they kept DC McLaren would have at least come away with the constructors title in 05. JPM made too many point costing mistakes and wasn't there to back up Kimi when he had all his failures.

I can remember DC making some costly errors, like putting it in the pit wall and spinning on the formation lap. And he never took the fight to Schumacher the way montoya did. (I guess a lot of that was with williams)

Not to make this a JPM VS DC thread, but DC was at least a fantastic no.2 driver to have. JPM's best asset was overtaking MS, and most of them were MS using his nugget and not making it too hard. JPMs 'let me go or crash' mentality' might've been spectacular but wasn't very points-friendly.
