Gaddafi has said he's not going down without a bloody big fight...

Because it hasn't been big or bloody enough yet? :yikes:

The puzzling thing about the prevailing Arabic culture and the Muslim religion is their intolerance of any external and specifically western influence, yet they will turn a blind eye to their own sectarian violence regardless of how bloody or ruthless a manifestation it becomes.

Look at their history. It's nothing more than trying to disguise their complex of inferiority.

Seems according to the news that the US has fired the first missiles and libyan anti-air defences. Oh dear.

Cameron confirms British troops are active in Libya too.

What is the point in Nato when only France, US and UK want to enforce it the rest dont, and we do it anyway!

French plane has launched the first attack against a military vehicle.

And a fighter plane, its country unknown still, has been shot down over benghazi.

S*it it hitting the fan now.

Yeh france launched the first attack then America went in with what they called "light" invovlment.

They launched B2 Stealth Bomber Strikes and nearly 100 cruise missiles. Light?!

As for the UK they've just launched cruise missles from the 2 two subs in the med, there are no troops on the ground as thats against UN rules layed out for the no flyzone.

You can wrap it up like that if you wish, and that was an act of terrorism which Libya was attacked for, and I'm not defending it. What I am saying is that there has to be respect for all sovereign nations, otherwise what's the point? What happens when North Korea or China, or Yemen or and other country decides to "take out" any other world leader for whatever reason.

I'll take my pleasure straight up, maybe on the rocks, not mixed with anything that would dilute it. Is Iran joining this revolutionary party?

I am glad we are tactically going about this though. I'd rather see these countries use their technological superiority to bring this conflict to and end. We have lots of ways to attack with out the need for ground troops.

Protected? How? Please explain!

I wouldn't say 100% protected. But the rebels are now at least sort of safe from Qaddafi's power.
