Nuh-uh! I live in the North-East of England and run creches for teenage mums. These girls pop out babies like crazy. I'm actually in awe of the output produced. My favourite age difference so far is eight months....How do they do it?? Eight months??

Trust me the UK is total toilet bowl. You have the odd teen pregancy over there, so what?

All kids to is hang aruond street corners here stealing, abusing and generally causing criminal damange to their surroundings, i walked to work today and experienced two blokes arguing through their car windows as they passed as one had cut the other up, numerous streaks of animal, human and drunken p*ss and crap rolling merrily from the wall acroos the footpath in front of me, and racist attitudes towards the local "black majority" school from this douche i work with. This is a 10 minute walk.

Kids in school have the right to attack teachers now, when the teacher uses minumum force to control a rowdy pupil, they tell mummy and the teacher is sacked. IVE SEEN THIS FIRST HAND
The middle class are more then happy enough to let their 14 year old daughter go out with older boyss and get shitfaced, infact i know plenty of people who go out with their parents and make complete idiots of themselves.
Everyone believes what they see in the newspaper, ie the sun, i dont read it, i dont read any.
The amount of single mothers is atrocious. When your 40 and recently divorced, fine i guess, not 2 months into childcare and dad cant be arsed anymore.
Kids are spoilt beyond belief, getting ipads, booze, weeks worth of wages, for doing no jobs and having no respect for their parents.
I have to be cautious going out anywhere at night cause of the amount of gangs, petty gangs, but gangs that WILL happily kcik you in for a fiver
There is litter in every street, never gets cleaned up
Nobody does their job properly, everyone does the minimum work and just wants to doss

I've used the read back on what I've written method, by low down I meant preforming poorly. Obviously with something like crime rates low down is actually a good thing - but that wasn't what I meant.

Can't be bothered to look this stuff up properly, yes most of them are pretty serious problems for the UK, most of them are solvable though, but fundamentally there needs to be an attitude change so that we start properly solving them. It mainly matters that the attitude shift occurs with government (at all levels) but I hope people changing attitudes should filter through to government attitudes changing.

Every time change is proposed, people get scared and object to it. I think the UK is too stuck in the past, lingering on to past achievements and prestige and any change is resisted subconsciously at least on the grounds that it takes us further away from this "mythical golden era".

Decisions need to be made properly, based as best they can on objectivity, not on shock value or media coverage. We're probably all pretty much in agreement on the base values and goals, its just the prioritising and getting there part seems to be messed up.

Actually, I'm not sure how big an effect changing institutions (like schools) changes society (i.e. the mentality of the pupil), is it a chicken and egg? Which one needs to change first?
